  • True. Worst thing that can happen is that I end up with a fine and fast tyre touring setup on my other frame and buy new tyres for this one. And thank you for photos and measuring stuff. I appreciate it!

  • Advantage of working in one of the best bicycle workshop in London, got all the tools to measure an' stuff.

  • Group set has arrived. Cranks fit fine and everything seems perfect, except for the fact that the front mech braze on is a little off center and I can see now that I generally was in a hurry. Filing and brazing is not as nice I have previously done it. A bit ashamed of having to show @coldharbour my work tomorrow ;-) Hopefully paint will cover it.

  • And what color did you choose? Turqoise?

  • Yes, something like that. I haven't found a painter yet. Waiting to hear Matt's advice later today.

  • Still going for this. More green than blue

  • Ok. Will you paint the fork?

  • Yes spray. All of it

  • Parts are coming together nicely.

    And some DT/ST decoration:

  • Just had a chat with Armourtex. They can't promise that fork and frame can be matched. They want to wet spray forks but powder coat frame. I will go there tomorrow and see what can be done. Any suggestions to alternative paint jobs are welcome.

  • That's the same as guaranteeing an anti-porn color mismatch #straighttofrankenthread

  • speak to mario vaz or cole coatings? Vaz did all of talbots suff

  • Cole Coating doesn't have a phone number only contact is through the messageform on his website #useless
    I will call Mario Vaz.

I have started thinking about champagne. I used to own this:

It can be a little hard to photoshop that colour, but I imagine it would look like this:

  • Like an hommage to Benotto i guess. I fucking love that colour...

  • Dude doesn't pick up... I thought painting would be the easy bit...

    Liking earth colours...

  • Got untill tomorrow around 11am to decide colour. Mario Vaz will spray it.

  • Benotto nickel beige is classic. I also like the metallic sage green of my rawland...

  • Yeah also nice.

  • Yep. That colour does it for me. If I ever get my frame sprayed again that's up there at the top of the list. I'll just take em a pic of your Rawland.

  • How about in between the green and the champagne? Love the green of my Argos.

  • Yes that is quite nice

  • Not got any good quality photos to hand but yeah , I think it's a real nice balance.

  • Uhh I hate to have to make this decision.

    Sage metallic green

    Argos metallic green

    Turqouise metallic

  • Turquoise metallic for me , really suits the style of the build.

Then again, you Argos green in the photo chop doesn't look realistic.
