Hopefully it'll still be in, everyone seemed to be ordering it as the other options were not so good.

This has been my Christmas morning beer for the last couple of years. Might just be the best imperial stout I've ever had

Have you had the Marble Brewery Aged Imperial Stout yet? However I've not tried your candidate...

Sounds like a good plan! I've been trying to keep a few bottles of De Dolle's Stille Nacht stashed away until this Christmas or beyond... caved in and drank it several times at the beginning of the year, thankfully the shop still had some stock recently... last attempt has led to a couple of bottles hidden in the back of a cupboard, just out of reach and behind some precariously stacked boxes... So far so good...

^ Xmas keeper beers best left unmentioned otherwise they appear in a glass too soon...
Session IPA by Cloudwater, worth a try & supports local mcr brewing scene. Tempted by Thirst Class - Penny Black IPA too.
Not A B or S but Thistly Cross Elderflower Cider is amazing, on at The Met.

Picked up a couple of collabs today. Got Wild/Burning Sky/Fork Brewing pink peppercorn barrel aged passion fruit and hibiscus beer and Fyne Ales/Dr Molens imperial stout made using Sorachi Ace and Calypso

I went to Leeds at the weekend and tried a few places round there. Overall it was really nice, but was a bit pricier than I was expecting. Highlight of the day was Yeastie Boys/Northern Monk- It's A Trap. Not usually my sort of thing but really enjoyed it.

Sambrooks Rye thingie, liked it.

Firestone Walker - Pale Ale 31. This stuff is just delicious. Incredibly fresh hop flavours. American beers just differ in some ways that we can't seem to replicate. Different grain for a kick off, I suppose.
Had a Siren smoked/cherry stout. Very nice. Sweet and balanced.

This was so good, doesn't even taste like a 7% beer = dangerous

Where did you go? Leeds isn't that expensive once you get off Boar Lane pubs and Brew Dog.
-

Although Northern Monk Brewery is nice it's not a session pub.
Leeds Brewery pubs always have good, cheap, stuff and Guest Ales.

Weird Beard are fantastic. Unfortunately they've just lost Jonny (ex-Brodie's) as he's apparently had to leave on compassionate grounds.
Get their Sadako and Weird Bro(d)mance. Maybe strap a Pampers on before you have it, mind.

@Mr_Sworld I went to Bundobust, Northern Monk, and then a few places in that general area. I must say I suffered from not having been to Leeds in ages, bad preparation, and a dead phone.

I'd given it 2 stars previously and thought that was underrated today. So, either it is better or I was in a better mood or something.

Had a Fernet Aged Porter by Odell Brewing last night.
9.8% but went down like a dream.

Penny Black IPA, tasty but gassy. Vegan according to the label, hadn't noticed that before now.

Weird Beard Rye Smile 10.6% last night - very Belgian but a bit too sharp for me.
Anchor Steam Cali Lager - nice lager but I'm kind of over that taste to be honest.

Thornbridge kippling deserved 3 pints over the 3 different pints I tried last night, all were good but the kippling was lovely.
