I had same issue and got the looser fit in kursks, and wish I went with the tighter fit now. They are just a bit loose.

Mine stretched out a little bit, think I'd have preferred half a size up though.

They look a bit gimpish. :)
I've had the Rumble VR for a bit now, but only used for a dozen or so spin classes. They feel pretty comfy around the gym, should be good for walking around in.

eu44? If you still have them and will post, I'll take them.

Your gimpish! ;)
They're really nice and light to walk around and they look blinging bruv!

i have had the soles of two pairs of giro terraduro fall off. yesterday i noticed the sole on my giro rumbles is starting to come off.
rather disappointed

Do they have a weight limit?

Shut it!

Ive had a pair of trucks for about 7 months now and they haven't stretched at all I don't think. Ive used them to commute everyday in all weather and they have held up really well. Good pair of SPD shoes.

I also stumbled across these, the Giro Alpineduro, not good for the summer but potentially a commuting gamechanger for winter. Waterproof and insulated, what more could you want for horrid commutes?
wore mine for the first time today. one cleat plate thread sheared off when using a torque wrench to 5nm (thankfully it had 2 sets of holes so could still be used)
the boots filled with water in tonights downpour, but the insulation worked well, my feet were in a warm wet bath!

there is a bit of a theme here, Giro shoes look good, in principle are great but the materials continually let them down.
-
• #1089
if you want a warm, dry pair of shoes just put your feet in bread bags and then put them in any pair of shoes
-
• #1090
Wear Sealskinz with a band of insulation tape overlapping the top to stop them bucketing.

Could someone recommened a pair of spd's between £20-30 and shoes around £60?
I am looking to spend £100 to switch from flat pedals/straps to spd's.

Does anybody know what or who makes these?

@Muppetteer they look like quoc pham's
http://www.quocpham.com/products/tourerboot_tan.html
maybe an earlier protoype
-
• #1094
I think they're Velorution's Quoc Pham clones.
-
• #1095
@cornelius_blackfoot - yes they look very similar, I'll check out the Quoc Pham, but there isn't a price, and er, if you have to ask... ...
@General_Strike I think the photo is from Velorution. Were the clones any good?

looks like the touring boot is made to order, the low version of it, the touring shoe, retails for £149 on always riding, so expect price to be north of that..

Has anyone had experience with the Giro Terraduro? My Dominators are dead and I need a replacement. The heel area on the sole of these looks very supportive and better for walking in. They also come in wide. Can't seem to find that HV version in size 48 anywhere. Any ideas where they might be in stock?

Can't seem to find those anywhere in stock. What are other options for something similar, and wider than normal?
-
• #1099
i have mentioned them a few times (even on this page so perhaps you should search or even try reading), really comfy but am on my third pair under warranty as the soles have come off 2 piars ( on one of them it took 3 weeks)
otherwise they are a good sturdy shoe, but a little heavier than normal mtb shoes due to the extra rubber on the sole. they also get fucking heavy when filled with water like today
germany seems to have loads in stock and often cheaper than here

this same story and others on the internet made me decide on going with something else.
Question about Chrome Kursks and/or Truks to anyone who has them:
Do they stretch at all after new or is the fabric stiff as all things?
Just I have a sizing issue - one size is a wee bit tight on me, but the next size up is a little bit loose. Thinking of going for the smaller size but want to be sure it will gain a little bit of give after wearing them in before I splash out - or should I go for the bigger size?
