Any advice or pointer welcome pls.
I have a Polar bluetooth chest hrm and it was working perfectly with SportsTracker till I took a 4 week break from cycling due to health issues. Now back on the bike properly, my hrm starts OK but after about .5 to .8 mile it stops recording.
I've replaced the battery and the chest strap but still the same.
I restart the phone in the morning before connecting it all but still the same.
Phone is setup for auto updates on apps and Sportstracker has probably updated and I've updated the OS on it the recently.
Any advice/pointers as I don't really know what to try next.
Thanks -

@Thuekr Ta very much. I hope I don't have to! Funny since I posted this morning I fitted it whilst at work and sat at my desk for a while, 35 mins to be precise, with no drop outs constant connection. I've done this once before whilst at home a few weeks back to test it 10 mins and it was fine so it seems only to be while I'm on the road.
If it doesn't work tonight going home then it will be roll back time on teh OS! argh!!! -

Might be worth uninstalling the app first.

Ordered a replacement board and a set of wanglers to get at the original. Wanglers came first so I thought I'd practice the removal. Removed the board, gave the usb port a scrub and reassembled. Bloody thing works now...
At least I learnt something. Thanks for the tips!

Ah, success! And I s'pose as long as the part wasn't too pricey it's always nice to know you've got a spare to hand if it goes tits up again.

@andyp, I tried that as well.
this is where it gets weird in the office on friday once whilst sitting at my desk and once while out for a walk at lunch time I rigged it all up, gel/chest strap etc and it worked perfectly, once for 30 mins and once for 10 mins but as soon as I got the bike, 30 seconds then stopped recording.
I'm fed up with it now!

Google have accepted that Parcelfarce are inept muppets and are not charging me for the replacement phone. They've been really helpful. Would bang. 9/10

Couple of questions:
1) on my iPhone you could search the whole phone just by dragging down the top quick menu - then it would search everything, contacts, messages, etc.
Is there anything like this on Android? or do I have to download an app? If so is there a good one that's not going to then sell all my info?
2) I've got £10 credit in the Amazon app store. I don't want any games. Are there any paying apps people would recommend?
3) does anyone want a moto x mk1 case?
Cheers.

I just bought a Sony Xperia Z ultra.
Wanted a small tablet, but my phone was also being shit. So I figured Phablet.
6.4" screen. Looks stupid up against your ear. But I love it. Great for surfing and e book reading. Plus it's thin and fits in a jersey pocket just fine. -

Any anti virus app recommended? Was just on some random website (OK, cats) and a pop up windows says I am at risk form 19May from some American virus etc etc... click here to install... obv I didn't but it redirected me to another page anyway, closed it right away coz it did sound fishy.
Anyway, I have been getting a lot of bug detected alerts lately also. So want some sort of app to give my phone a scan to check everything is good.
Haven't used Textra but it looks promising.
