I'm trying to get hold of Matt. Just remembered he has that ancient Trek... Maybe he'd lend it to me for them day?
-
• #28
Dunno what Trek that is but let me know if you get hold of him.
If not, you could borrow my commuter, it's a Giant XTC with rigid carbon forks. I've used it round the Surrey Hills once, didn't like the lack of front bounce but it's reasonably light. Joel's borrowed it a couple of times for XC rides with me.
PM me if you're interested. -

Looks like some lovely weather for you guys tomorrow!
-
• #30
Yeah, it's looking fucking good. :-)
Sorry you can't make it but I'm sure that I will be doing more of these if people are interested. -

If anyone else is going besides the confirmed on this event PM me for my mobile number. Having it and storing it now will be very useful before we get out on the hills.

No worries, I'm sure there'll be a next time.
I will probably Bike Tracks the loop and post the link here after the ride. -
• #34
Apologies I'm out too. Strained something in my back and don't think 4hrs mountain biking is gonna help. Shame as it looks like awesome weather for it. Have fun all!

Don't forget your now obligatory "bike hanging from a tree branch" photo, Mick :-)

So, a nice turn out for the ride and excellent conditions. Thanks to @mmccarthy, @D_Mars, @tonyme, @LHL for making this a good ride.
How about another ride in about a month's time? -
• #42
Sorry to hear that. There should be another ride in around a month I think. I'll let everyone know.
-
• #43
Thanks for the guide Justin, awesome trails! Will definitely get a new set of bars for the next ride out though!
-
• #44
No low hanging branches to be seen around Pete!
-
• #45
You're welcome. :-)
Maybe a dropper too...? -
• #46
For sure! Got a fair bit of researching to do before pulling the plug on one of those though!
-
• #47
Late back to the forum, but thank you for the day Justin- fantastic trails and top-notch guiding. Not to mention beer and cake :) .
-
• #48
No probs. Beer and cake is always good. :-D
-
• #49
So...anyone up for a ride in about a month's time?
-
• #50
Gutted I missed this, fractured ma heel :(
In around a months time hopefully I'll have a more suitable bike and be healed up enough for some off road action.
I'm hoping to, for sure. I'll keep everyone posted.
