It's spoiled by the missing rubber cap on the stem.
They're not rubber, they're plastic, and they split very easily. Those stems are crap.

Either way, should be replaced.

Mavic and Fulcrum do now.

See above.

Mavic and Rigida/Ryde have made ceramic coated rims that hold up to big mileages.

They don't really do anything but yeah I suppose... for this thread.

They do one thing. They break.
(I'm annoyed because I owned one and it was expensive but crap)

Mine cost a tenner from PX

Currious about this stem.
Does anyone have any experience?
I'd like one, but I'm worried the plastic might break. Am I being unduly concerned?

Need rims only.
Ryde CSS: not available yet. They did only one production run that was not for sale

actual lol

Not split. Taken off and thrown in the bin before it had the chance. There was a minimal distress caused and no cyclists were harmed.

What du you mean? The coating will hold up for a while, but eventually it will fail and look shit. I've had Mavic's with ceramic coating and it's pretty much useless.

610 gram, no good for Vagens

The new coatings seems to hold pretty well (exalith, keronite and such)

Mavic and Fulcrum have black alu wheelsets now.

Yes the Open Pro ceramic coating can crack but the Rigidas are proven to last really well.
All rims wear eventually if you rub them with things.
This. Flo30s are already expensive, they'd be twice the price with ceramic coated brake tracks. Disc brakes are the answer :-)
