• Only 6hrs?

    Out.

  • ^ plenty
Phoned the Europcar Fleet Manager at Watford alittle later than i had planned.

'Just need to phone the Depot Manager at Park Royal to find out, I'll call you back in 10 or 15 minutes'
28 minutes later, he did call back.
'Park Royal Depot Manager has referred the twerps to HR,
for a full investigation with potential disciplinary implications'.

He has passed my email on to the HR department.
[Will hold out for a Tommy Voeckler-signed Team EuropCar cycling jersey
as restorative justice for mespilus jr.].

  • I'll put my trousers back on.

That looks like a weird post on this page, but I stand by it.

  • Depending upon the HR outcome,
(he typed pretending to be a script editor for 'Person of Interest'),
I may need to organise a Forum ride to the Park Royal depot.

(Plenty of Lebanese bakeries and cafe/resto's in Park Royal these days
    for a post-dump replenishment).

  • Weary copper issues plea:

    http://www.burlingtonfreepress.com/story/news/local/2015/05/21/hinesburg-chief-reflects-fatal-crash/27741133/

Frank Koss put pen to paper days after a tragic crash that killed two residents as a way to deal with his thoughts — a first for the self-labeled "politically correct" police chief in Hinesburg.

The product of his reflection was bluntly direct.

"If Joseph Marshall had not lost his life, he would have been charged with second degree murder," Koss wrote in a letter published Thursday in The Hinesburg Record. "This was not going a little fast or even distracted driving, it was gross careless and negligent driving. ... Although bicyclists are always aware of the inherent danger from speeding or distracted drivers, this event crossed an unimaginable line."

Koss said he felt it necessary to write the column, which he shared with the Burlington Free Press. "The message was lost on a lot of the kids," he said. "This wasn't an accident at all."

  • Didn't know where to put that, hope it's ok here. The young driver had been warned about his speeding and daft overtakes by that copper when he was off duty. Later he drives at double the speed limit and kills himself and a 57 year old rider. The cop's wracked with recrimination about whether he could have done more.

  • Got to meet a lovely cab driver today, didn't drop enough cunts to be on here tho.

  • "professional drivers" is the biggest oxymoron ever.

  • Today I called out to a ridiculously glamourous woman in a Chelsea tractor, which was partially blocking the road, to get off her mobile phone, to which she yelled back: "Fuck off bitch, I'm only parking!"

    Um, OK then!

  • Being professional doesn't guarantee you're any good though!

  • A lot late for a response I know, I had the exact same problem with some nightmare neighbours. After calling the local fuzz they advised that if you can hear the music outside the house after about ten pm it's a noise complaint issue and they can and should advise the scumbags to turn it down. They advised to report every incident which can be used as a basis for an asbo and eventually, if they rent, eviction. It took my estate 3 years to get rid of the neighbours and it wasn't just music. We had domestic violence in the street, drug use, burglary and my all time favourite.... 2 drunk smack heads screwing in the riot van after being lifted for trying to kill each other in someone else's garden.

Edited when I realised I replied to a comment from months ago when I clicked the wrong page.

  • You only get to become a 'professional' driver once your got at least 2 drink driving convictions under your belt.

  • Could people please edit their videos before uploading them. Two minutes of nothing before anything happens, then 6 minutes of nothing afterwards?

Also mounting camera on helmet good idea so you can turn to face him.

  • Po po like them 2min before to show it wasn't provoked and till they have passed/gone to show it didn't go for round 2. I try to cut more when it won't be useful but didn't feel I could that time.

  • In my experience motorcyclists seem to think they have divine right to filter and no-one else can, to the put where I've been 'aggressively' (i.e. lots of revving) overtaken by one while filtering, only to get stuck behind him as he couldn't filter through the narrower gaps, the swine

  • I usually get the opposite where scooter and motorcyclists can't squeeze through a gap and than I have to politely ask them to move aside so I can ride down it..

I should also point out in counterpoint, that last week I also had a motorcyclist pull into his lane to let me pass, without any fuss or bother, so I've obviously just focused on the bad 'uns..

  • I've obviously just focused on the bad 'uns..

Sometimes think it would be a nice counterpoint to have a thread detailing the actions of good, attentive, and reasonable drivers, just to put into perspective how London is actually quite a pleasant place to cycle around the vast majority of the time. Would be as boring as shit tho, but when has that ever stopped this forum.

  • Fuck me, everytime I see videos like that I thank fuck I don't cycle in London

  • That said the bit where he encourages the biker down between the van and the bus and he gets stuck is hilarious

  • Had a nice close truck overtake on my way to Bury earlier, started off a little close, was scary close by the back of it. Even worse in my way back to Manchester, was riding with another guy on a wide, 2 lane stretch of road that was just narrowing slightly to 1 wide lane plus bike lane, we were riding kinda half 2 abreast finishing a quick conversation but going single file as the road narrowed. Young prick in a white hatchback full of young pricks beeps the guy now mostly behind me and close overtakes, I give evil stares but am generally a laugh it off kind of person. Carprick then pulls up in the cycle lane ahead, waits until I overtake before pulling out alongside me and undertaking me, didn't really swerve at me or owt, maybe my further evil stares and the fact my bike is as heavy as his car put him off, he was, and still is, a prick. Also had a woman in a hatchback overtake with a left signal on, slow right down as if going to left hook but then wait for us both to pass on the left before turning, why not wait and turn behind us rather than briefly shitting us both up.

  • Do a shit in your hand and smear it into their face. Clean your hand with their wiper fluid and clothes.

I get this at least once a week. It quite often ends up with both me and the car stationery as I refuse to undertake.

    Bang to writes.
