  • The Irish singing in the Waverley Arms in Nunhead used to be quite the attraction. It generally broke out when the grimly monosyballic conversation of a Thursday night had petered out and nobody could be arsed to punch the 50p destroying juke box into submission. You could see the look of horror on the face of the occasionals who had just mooched through the door, commented on how peaceful it was and ordered up a round. Sharon would start in a low pitch and start winding up. In Gaelic at first but inevitable falling into English when she couldn't remember the words and then mostly just making it up. I reckon some of it were the script from last nights Corrie. All through the pub everyone sat stock still, not daring to make eye contact with anyone else. That's save the lads out the back playing pool who decided the only way to sink anything was to strike the cue ball with near ballistic impact.

  • 'Spoons back home on Sheppey has Brewdog and Vedett for £2.50 or free with a main meal!

  • 'Spoons are excellent post ride venues (or pit stops on longer rides). Large plate of matter + pint for not very much.

The Wibbas Down Inn in Wimbledon is cavernous.

  • My wife's parents are also obsessed with eating out at spoons when they house sit for us.

  • I'm kind of pleased that the post election discussion has moved into the sort of discussion you might find yourself having with Nigel Farage.

  • Lived a road away from the Waverley for three years. Never went.
    (Phew)

  • Spoons in Elephant and Castle is great.
Spoons in Forest Hill is on my list of things to do.

  • My constituency:
Labour since forever up to 50.5%.
UKIP 23.6% up from 4% (last time a BNP candidate took 5%, vote unsplit?)
    Conservative 20.3 down from 25.6%.
Green up to 3% from 1.6%
Lib Dem 2.6% down from 16%.

  • spons in FoHi - is that the one in an old Coronet Cinema? must be like a fucking aircraft hanger inside.

Behold the Majesty of The Knights Templar.

  • Spoons and Sammy Smiths pubs <3

  • Has he resigned yet? I agree with @ùbér_grùbér on that one. Labour have failed so spectacularly in Scotland, way more so than England, yet Miliband has gone, but he hasn't?

  • It used to be my local too, back when Tony Blair was popular. Definitely worth a visit, had some cracking nights in there.

  • Sam Smiths > Spoons

  • sam smiths = M&S of pubs. you're fucked if you want anything other than own-brand. and their 'cola' tastes like wasps.

  • Jesus, you bunch of snobs. Spoons are brilliant, the one on Old Street is cracking, Farringdon's lovely on a Sunday and don't get me started on Highgate...bloody brilliant

Sam Smiths don't serve food, or a decent ale, so they can do one.

  • Don't like Sam Smiths. Though did puke on the doorstep of one, having decided that 8 pints between 5 and 8pm was a good target. In the west end. #stayclassy

  • the yorky gray in fitzroviaz does fuds. and their toilets have the smoothest, cleanest cisterns in all of W1.

  • they sell food, and your decent ale comment...

    Jesus, you bunch of snobs.

  • YES! Thats our work local when we are skint 3 pints under a tenner in W1 cant top that

  • Made me laugh :')

  • Excuse me, but has this election thing been sumarised on Gogglebox yet?

  • To bring this back on topic, some of you have clearly got the government you absolutely deserve
