I use the bolts on both an x2 and x4 stem.
When I got all the bolts there was nothing to distinguish which were meant for which stem (I got 2 pairs of them)

Perfect. Thanks James.

is their torque wrench just a normal torque wrench? then you buy an adapter for it to use with the bolts?

and whats the difference between hyper torque and standard torque keys

Hyper torque for track nuts.

Giving their Tribe f+r skewer and seatclamp package a shot. Probably overkill for the amount of time the bike's outside/value of components, but it will be one less thing to worry about when it's locked up outside the pub!

Anyone had any problems with the micro torque key? I've managed to damage two of them now when tightening stem bolts.
In both cases I was using a torque wrench with an adapter. Both times the key has slipped off of the bolt at an angle and got damaged. Now the key doesn't sit right in the bolt and can't be tightened. I'm checking with atomic22 to see if the want the keys back in case there was a bad batch, though I figure it was probably just me being clumsy.

I managed the same thing with a micro torque key when tightening my seatpost bolt. I'm convinced I had it in straight and didn't over torque but something obviously happened to make it slip and the key was damaged to the point it was unusable.
Now I've a replacement key and I've since been super careful and insanely precise with every single crank of the bolt. So far so good but it's not often I make any adjustments.
Thank goodness it's the key that fails and not the bolt.

Have not had any problems with mine like that.
They have worked very well (once I got the track nuts properly tightened).

Good to know, thanks. I guess I just wasn't careful enough. It's amazing how little damage there would appear to be on the key and how much of a difference that makes to the fit.
@dancing james Yeah the rest of mine have been the same, always felt really solid when engaged. It's just these stem bolts using the smaller key I've had a problem with.

They went on holiday out of the UK last xmas.

I had some mails with them at the start of January about my keys. I've returned my damaged ones so they can take a look and will probably order a replacement this week.

Interesting, perhaps they're not away then.
Rather strange as in the past their customer service has been utterly brilliant.

definitely slackened on the emails towards christmas when i ordered

Received a response from Atomic 22 this morning; they'd just been super busy lately with factory maintenance and various other bit and pieces.
As usual they were very friendly, polite and extremely willing to help. :)

Has anyone got a phone no for Patrick at Atomic22
I have not had responses to a couple of emails.

You might just have to be patient with them at the moment; it took them 3 months to respond to 2 emails and get my order to me.

Have lost a key so need a replacement soon.
-
• #148
Don't panic. PM me when you need to get them off

Will you fix my puncture by the roadside too?

.
@Dom
no, generic. the factory x2 bolt switched with the factory x4 bolt. think the x4 uses a smaller hex key iirc.
PS anyone know how to delete, or how to choose to edit to reply after posting?
