If it's a medium I'll definitely have it off you. I've 'sized down' since I bought the one I have now (medium) so deffo don't want to go any bigger.

Damn you Aldi! Why do it on the Sunday in the middle of a Bank Holiday.
I really need cheap bib shorts but will be very hungover on Sunday morning.

So she can make the trip back from Portugal just because you want some cheap Aldi crap? :)

And this is different how?

Just broke my aldi shoes today. Walking down stairs in them and put my weight more on the toe than the ball of my foot and the plastic sole bit snapped infront and behind the cleat plate. Seems ok still but my shimano ones I usually wear don't break on stairs...

The shit other people say that I'll be blocking out I won't be able to understand anyway.

Just bought me some Aldi bibs. Yeah very nice. Only one small Crane logo on the lower back which will be covered by a top. Couple of small reflective marks on each leg. All very minimal. The material is almost like that charcoal grey lycra you get. I got the completely black pair but they do a pair with blue side panels also.

Had a set of Aldi winter bibs from about 3 years ago, they've lost a bit of their stretch but they have probably been through a 40c wash at least 50 times now (winter commuting bib), would buy again.
The other one is Decathlon 900 winter bibs, often reduced from £70 down to £35 or less as no one ever buys them, for £70 they are not terrible, certainly comparable to Endura's cheaper offerings, and at £35 or less, buy as many as you can get!

Full range of gear at Old Kent Road - bought bibs and socks.
They also have the work stand (£25!!!) which irritatingly wasn't listed on the web page for this offer.

They also have the work stand (£25!!!)
The stand is from last month mountain cycling week they have not sold out like hot cakes.

My local Aldi has Crane shorts reduced to £5.49 or £5.99, managed to find one pair in my size as it was a case of rummaging through all the open packaging like a lucky dip.
Those Lidl chain cleaners are pretty good for £4 if they are the same as the one I got about a year ago.

Anyone got one of these? Worthwhile?

I had heard rumours of aldi's greatness but never looked into it. I like the look of those 'team gloves' -they actually have the gel in the right place!
I could start a whole thread on gloves that have the padding in the wrong place.
Still have the stupid fluffy bit to wipe your nose with though- nice and warm in summer, that
Is Crane a sort of in house label for Aldi then?
Oh and gt85 for 1.99!!

I went by the one in anerly last night, got myself a new pair of panniers for £10 and some shorts and jerseys. Jerseys I got the wrong size so will be on my way back after work to try and swap them for a size down.

Just a heads up: they now seem to be reducing their recent stock of cycling gear. I might pick up a set of the mitts (now £1.99), and maybe a soft-shell (now £9.99) if I can find one that fits.

Aldi doing garmin edge 500 for €110 and merino base layers for €20 on the 24th sept. I'm not sure what the UK prices for this will be. There have loads of the usual stuff also. They are doing gels and electrolyte tabs this time also.
-
• #448
Have you got a copy of the leaflet? I know Garmins are £79.99 here, but I haven't seen what else they have yet. I could do with some base layers...

Found it in a magazine. I'm in ireland. Its one of their biggest selections of cycling stuff I've seen. Left the leaflet in work. Off the top of my head there was
A turbo trainer for €70
muck off stuff for €5.5
Bike stand
gloves
lobster gloves
bib tights
winter jackets
rain jackets
Jerseys
mtb shoes
USB chargeable lightsSeem to be doing pretty much most of the cycling stuff they do at once.
Is this the best price for an edge 500? Never had a garmin and I'm tempted -

Thanks, I'll keep an eye out for an ad. Garmin is super cheap, normally around £100 on eBay... I hope they do the merino stuff they did a few years ago.
i have one in a drawer still in the packet i never used, think it is L but not sure. you can have it for what ever it cost me if you like, drop me a pm if interested.
