There's always time for another teaser shot too. I'm loving the fork blades. Its a teardrop at the top, tapering to round at the bottom.

And a question; if the frame is sent back to be repaired I assume it'll be re-sprayed too. Should I send the fork back, also, so the paint matches? Or will it be easy enough to replicate given its a ral code?

I don't know for sure but of imagine the colour should be fine mostly however the finish is another thing. I'm guessing the painters would be different (if you werent to send the forks off) which'll be the danger re the finish due to the clear coating or paint brand ect.
Though may as well just ignore everything I just said as I really don't know. How would you get the forks done. So they fit exactly into the frame pattern?

Send em an email, just to check, personally I'd send em with, then it's upto them to get the match, rather than just hoping ral code is enough. Glad this is getting sorted. Just a thought, did it not come with a seat tube bung/protector in?

Everything need to be send back.
If a box look damage, do not sign it, let them take it back, etc. good thing UPS is taking it back.

No it didn't. A good idea!

Fair point, I will do that next time along with making sure no one signs on my behalf (I didn't receive this package).
The only way I could have got it and signed for it myself is if I took annual leave from work. Which is madness. Even if delivered to work it would go via the mailroom.

Agreed with all this BTW. Forks are going back! Cheers.

Have it delivered to a bike shop who can reject it for you if its FUBAR?
-
• #461
Good idea. Is that something you / matt at Talbot could do? I also need a trustworthy person to do the frame prep, and was thinking about asking if Talbot can.

Just stopped in to check progress on this….heartbreaker! I'm sure it'll all work out for you though and that first ride will be all the sweeter after having to put up with all this and waiting so long
-
• #463
Does look sweet though and it's all about the gloss finish for longevity

UPS have taken this away. I'm eagerly awaiting news!

• #465
Good luck for this nice frame !

Frame has been lost in return transit. Rychtarski are about to begin building a new one.
-
• #467
That's a pain (understatement of the week).
Do you have to pay for it? -
• #468
shit, which courier is handling (or mishandling) this? My mate recently had a bike delivered to my house, the box was damaged and the driver told me he had marked it as such. The bike shop tried to claim from the courier and it turns out he just lied.

If I were being asked to pay again I'd be filled with rage. But it seems this is entirely out of my hands, and I'm really happy with the way rychtarski have handled it. Guess I just have to wait a bit longer now.

Sorry to hear about your mate's misfortune.
In my case it's UPS.
