Nope, I was registering both K and myself (on some shite old mac book using Safari and Firefox).
Used the button and the link with no problems.

I was following the wrong Twitter account, only happened to go to the blog page at just the right time. Well excited!

I took my fancy plastic bike with 25C tyres last year, was OK but fell off twice on pools of gravel. Cross bike would be ideal for the terrain but agree with the other comment about being too slow on road sections, also you're supposed to be mimicking a bit of P-R... no cross bikes on P-R.

You're not supposed to mimic anything... Ride whatever bike you want that'll do the job.

I was happy smashing my cross bike through the rougher sections at speeds that I wouldn't have been happy with on my road bike - 32c tyres, 29er rims and cross geo were ideal. Plenty fast enough on the road sections too.

What's the ride pace?

Gentle. It's social rather than a race (unless you want to smash it).

Fast. Whoever gets to the pub first gets the best seat. Simples.

I prefer the first option.
