Cheers, I think some people must have just had cacheing issues. Good to know it wasn't everyone.

I was following the wrong Twitter account, only happened to go to the blog page at just the right time. Well excited!

I took my fancy plastic bike with 25C tyres last year, was OK but fell off twice on pools of gravel. Cross bike would be ideal for the terrain but agree with the other comment about being too slow on road sections, also you're supposed to be mimicking a bit of P-R... no cross bikes on P-R.

Thanks for that.

You're not supposed to mimic anything... Ride whatever bike you want that'll do the job.

I was happy smashing my cross bike through the rougher sections at speeds that I wouldn't have been happy with on my road bike - 32c tyres, 29er rims and cross geo were ideal. Plenty fast enough on the road sections too.

What's the ride pace?
-
• #366
Gentle. It's social rather than a race (unless you want to smash it).
-

Fast. Whoever gets to the pub first gets the best seat. Simples.

I prefer the first option.

On reserve, was unsure re work but thought I would put a punt in and see, looking like im number 480+ so not holding my breath...
If I was a bit less "proper" I would simply join the ride 200 yards down the road from the start and make a day of it...

Do you want my ticket?
Am double-booked but will be seeing riders off at Pond Square in the morning. -

If the above doesn't I would! :)
Could do with some jellybeans in my house now (remembering @Señor_Bear at Newgate Street behind a mountain of the stuff).
