Man U players had so much space on Sunday - even before Gerrard was sent off it was as if they were playing with an extra man.
Fellaini seemed to be playing in a free ranging role - he was just anywhere on the pitch where the ball might need winning. -

It always was...

Plus the woman who runs Sunday nights is a prick, thinks she owns the gaff...

Was it cuz he got Slippy sent off?

Let's hope that Skertel is not banned a) because it will show the FA to be a bunch of hypocrites and b) because Liverpool play Arsenal next and it would be good for us to see Arsenal, who, unlike Liverpool, are a title contender, lose some points and Skertel is possibly Liverpool's best player.
By the same token, I really hope that Liverpool do not appeal Gerrard's red card as a ban for him enhances Liverpool's chances against Arsenal.

Surely even Liverpool aren't that dumb? What would their grounds for appeal be exactly? "Eh, he's a national fooking treasure and it was more of a step than a stamp, la."

Matic managed to get a match knocked off his ban for not pushing that hard. Maybe Gerrard can claim he didn't stamp that hard.

Ps the jazz in the effra on a sunday has suddenly become a destination.
Good times..>Are the band as good as the Haggerston mob? Any bangers?

If the crowd doesn't get a hold of Mario, he's off, too. Poor showing. Surely Rickie is better as an aerial challenge to the hair bear bunch?
Makes me laugh when I hear of British players that have achieved the square root of FUCK ALL making demands via their agents. Philipe Coutinho shits over both Raheem and Jordan is happy to continue learning his trade without fuss whilst the big timers try and rinse the club. When you play like a 100k player at least 50% of the time, then you can come back with your £150K demands.

Woman was singing, but the band sounded good.
You up for Haggerston Easter Sunday? -
• #116315
Yeah. Right now, if City/Real offered £30M+ for Sterling, I'd take it.
Ibe and Origi seem good enough prospects to fill the gap. And we have plenty of sort-of-attacking-midfielder-winger-strikers.

I'm hoping we get Pogba in, no idea who'll make way for him... Oscar? Ramirez?
-
• #116317
He's better than both of them put together. I doubt he'll come though.
-
• #116318
Really? 30 million? That's pretty much Soldado money you're talking.
-
• #116319
The Pogba to Chelsea rumour mill has been going potty for months, we'll have to wait and see... Remy and Zouma are already at the Bridge (and McLovin' it) so he'll be amongst friends...

oh, and great weekend of football. shame about the gerrard and skrtl silliness as it detracted from talking about another decent united performance and a sweet brace from mata.
still a long way to go and all the teams in the top four will lose games. and not just against each other.

Pre-emptive retaliation, innit. Worked fine as a defence for that Phil Collins incident.
Seems like he's finally picking a system instead of players.
