A very cheering end to tonight's off-road slithering.

  • @hippy, perfect timing for craving Ommegang beers, friends visiting from NY next week!

  • Loads at The Epicurean, similar price.

They've got Beavertown Bloody'ell too which is going down nicely.

The X can wait, maybe until tomorrow night.

  • ^ I'm very interested to know how this turns out.

  • Went here last night.

    It was fun and drunky.

  • Urgh, i would go and pick some up, but the crank arm just fell off my bike. Offy's within walking distance only.

  • Has wild beer Evolver IPA last night which i was a big fan of, buying into the blurb i'm tempted to order 4 bottles and drink them at 3 month intervals. #SCIENCE

  • Offy's within walking distance only.

A nice gentle evening stroll would see you there and back easily.

  • Maybe they release it young. With beers like that. the main thing you'd probably notice is the dry-hop character fading.

  • ... Just read their blurb. It seems the residual yeast is expected to alter the flavour. You'd need to know how the shop had conditioned it first though, eg. temp and duration.....

  • Oakham Citra. Very nice.

Brewed by a pal of mine.

Cheers to your pal. I've enjoyed a couple of bottles of Oakham's Inferno and Citra in the last few weeks. Any finer points of the craft will be lost on me, but I though they were a nice find in the selection of my local supermarket. Hyvää kaljaa, in other words.

  • Really good stuff. Need another pint of Abyss some time!

  • V.tasty (v.citrusy but a lot more going on in it too) at first but as slow for me to drink and towards the end a hint of special brew as it warmed. If (when) I get another I'll pop it in fridge after first glass poured perhaps see if that helps.

  • Thanks. Did you try Tesco's double-IPA? Brewed by Brewdog....

  • Not yet, any good?

  • Really enjoying Kernel Enigma/Chinook IPA. Highly recommend.

  • Wild Beer Wild Goose Chase, tasty with a blurb on the can that could easily be found on a team sky meets rapha jersey.

  • Tried these two, wouldn't recommend either.

  • much love for Duchesse de Bourgogne

  • Enjoyed a fantastic demi by the name of Atomium at Craft Brixton the other night. Anybody recognise a know a brewer?

  • It's very nice. Slightly boozy, but at that ABV you'd expect it.
