Last night's tipples:
Thornbridge Cocoa Wonderland - super chocolatey porter. The aroma is thick enough to spread on toast. Would quaff again.
Chorlton Brewing Co. Dark Matter and Yakima Sour - both a bit too sweet and fruity for my liking, though the Yakima had a nice sherbety edge to it. Wouldn't seek them out in the future.
Epic Pale Ale (New Zealand) - pretty standard new world IPA with mucho hops. Nice, but nothing mind-blowing. -

Need to try that Thornbridge porter....
My workmate has left me a bottle of Weird Beard's Something Something Darkside in the fridge. Looking forward to that!

I have a bottle of Something Something in the cupboard here. Must.. resist..

Fuck.. just carried the box of cans I ordered from the loading bay. Idiot!
Thought it was the USB adapter I ordered not a billion kilos of beer that I can't even drink.

Had an Epic Hop Zombie IPA that blew everything else I'd tried out of the water yesterday evening. It was up against Northern Monk & Buxton and was still a proper stand out.

The WB Something Something Darkside was exceptional.

Apparently alcohol is bad for healing broken bones. deletes thread

Find another peer reviewed study which shows that alcohol is good for healing broken bones. Believe that.

Genius!

When I snapped my wrist, I took a lot of vitamin C. It's meant to increase the rate of healing in the early stages.
-
• #3413
I could probably do with more of that. I'm already smashing calcium, magnesium, phosphorus and Vit D as well as protein so that should help.
In terms of beer, I carried a whole 4 cans of Punk IPA home last night.

Beavertown's Heavy Water went down a treat last night

I didn't read about your break, but calcium make come in handy later when your bones have bonded, but in the short term, I don't think it makes much difference. Have a search for Vit C and bone healing. Anyway, back on topic!

First job was in Didsbury so thought I'd take a slight detour, gonna bosh one of these after a cup of tea as a pre polo warm up, probably the jaipur.

Yeah, I thought I hadn't been there after you posted about where you got yours, Google mapped it and was quite excited about going in a new beer shop. Arrived and realised I'd spent a night drinking outside it, heavily, after watching the polo worlds, left my bike next to a tree I threw up on a little.

Also thought I'd got lucky inside when I'd searched the whole shop for the X, eventually found the thornbridge section and there were 2 left behind some other beers, thought about buying both but they're quite expensive (but good value). Went to pay and there was 2 crates in the window by the till with about 8 more bottles on top.
