Yup. I'm going to the one in Hither Green for the first time on Saturday. Will see if the same trick works there as it's definitely bigger.

-
• #781
Yup. Not been to that one yet but the one in Kings Cross is pretty good. Best thing is that you subscribe to one and get access to all the others...

Id think about it if i didnt need to take out a monthly contract. If it was a pay per use system. I have a gym i use thats more convenient during the week to forgo the the lack of training on weekeneds..

So too add to the E10S Review:
I have owned them since the 21 Feb 2015 so have only used them about 15 days and already theyre broken. I now have to hold down the mic button if i am to get sound on either side of the upper-mids. I am now using an elastic band wrapped tightly over the mic button to keep it pressed.
Theyre being sent back tonight when i can find the packaging.
E10S - DO NOT GET. Waste of time and money.

Think I am going for these... anyone got experience with the older model quietcomfort 15? Or even these?
-

I tried the QC15. Sound was good, but not as good as other headphones in that price range (or even cheaper such as the AKG 550 I have at home). SOund cancelling was very good though so if you're getting them for planes, trains, etc I'd say they're one of the best options. Wouldn't get them for listening at home.
I didn't get them as the sound cut out when the battery went (it looks like that is partially fixed now) and I eventually opted for some Sennheiser's with a wireless option.
Personally I'd go with the Bose or the Sennheiser equivalent.

Just ordered myself some AKG 451 for £39 from Superfi - review to follow!

I've got a pair of them, you'll love em.

with the 25, even when the battery is dead, music plays on, but reviews says the sound is a little strange. I want a pair of headphones mainly for planes yes and also during so 'I really have to get on' time at work. What would be the sennheiser equivalent? Their noise cancelling headphones don't seem to have as good reviews.

I love Sennheiser CX300 but with my usage they get rekt more frequently; anything that has similar audio quality but tougher out there? Dont mind paying a little extra.

I think nowadays it would be the MM450X or MM550X. I have an earlier model (PXC 310) that's good but probably not sounding quite as good as the QC15. The noise cancelling works well though (I fly quite a bit).
Personally the slightly worse sound quality was made up for by bluetooth (including Apt-X) when I wanted it (they also have a wired option) but if you don't care about that then the Bose are probably the way to go.

I has looked into Bluetooth options too but j am.worried about how it might drawn the battery off my phone...

On my Nexus 5 (and similar on the Nexus 4) it probably accounts for 5%-10% of battery life. That's with it being left on permanently. If I turned it on only when I was listening to music it would be fairly negligible.

Sony MDR-EX650 Or Beyerdynamic DTX 101 iE - should be had for between £50 and £60
if you like sennheiser, try the new Momentum M2 in-ears. Bit more pricey though at £90
All depends on cable joins and strength though - if you habitually yank the things out of a bag or pocket the cables will go an anything regardless of cost.
I won't mention that the Hifiman RE600's are now half price, a total bargain at $199 now...

A vote for the QC20 from me. The QC15 were too warm on the ears for me.

interesting. the wifey needs earphones. maybe i could give her the klipsch and try these...
-
• #796
I looked into that as well, never really a fan of headphones, but my ears have funny shape so earbuds no matter the size and shape, always keep falling out...
-
• #797
I think you can try them out at a Bose store; the earbuds are an unusual design, with a rubber arm to stop them springing out
-
• #798
I've never found in-ear noise reducing ones to be much better than normal in-ears with good tips (although I haven't tried the Bose ones).
-
• #799
I know, but I have a pair of fairly expensive earbuds with differnet sizes of those arm thing and I found them really uncomfortable... hummmm... where is the nearest bose store in London... google please tell me...

Which ones? the Senns or the Hifiman? I've not tried the Momentum M2's but am quite keen to. The Momentum over ears I have sound great and are a very easy listen. They are not the last word in clarity or detail and space but they tend to just work with any music from any source. So if the in-ears are the same, then great!
