Does anyone have the Rotor BB tool I could borrow for a day or two?
-
• #128
If it can wait a day or two, I have one you are more than welcome to borrow, Andy. I'd just have to pop it in the post and collect when next up, as I'm not in London for a week, or so.
It's no hassle as i have stuff to list and will be regularly at the PO. But, perhaps something more convenient will turn up. -

What type of bb do I need for Rotor cranks on my Giant TCX slr2
It comes with a bb6000 but I'm crap at this stuff

Rotor makes BBs for every type of frame.
There are only few incompatibilities .. BB90 and 30mm axle is a no go for example ..
Check the chart: http://www.rotorbike.com/media/files/2012/12/rotor_310662450.pdf -

J, The bb6000 is made for the fsa cranks, no? If so and assuming the frame is 68mm british (bsa) thread, it'll be the BSA 30 for 30mm axle or the BB1 (bsa or italian) for 24mm.
Though, I've no experience of bb6000, so might have that wrong.here's the compatibility chart -
edit- yeah, that ^ ssslow this morning.

Which Rotor cranks do you have, 24 mm or 30 mm axle?
-
• #133
That's very kind of you, but seems like it's asking too much. I think I'm going to bite the bullet and buy one myself S the new BB is also the Rotor one so I'll likely need it.

Btw, having removed the stock FSA BB from a TCX recently, you've a number of issues to address. The FSA axle is 19 mm so is a pain to remove as none of the press fit BB removal tools will fit.

How come your BB didnt come with the tool?

The BSA30 one? I do. Could be available for collection from WC2A from Monday onwards if that's any good.

Are OEM cranks sold without the axle (and BB30 spacers)?
Looking at these for a friend and will check with the seller, but thought I'd ask in case something has been lost in translation (German seller states "bottom bracket not included") and I'm being dumb (I didn't know the axles were detachable).

Ok so bought Rotor 3d+ cranks from Merlin to go on a BSA frame...
What happened with these in the end? Did they go on a BB30 frame? If so, what spacers did you use?
If I understand it correctly, these Cervelo OE cranks will only fit BBright and BB30 frames.
-
• #145
I think they will fit other frames if you replace the spider lockring with a normal 3d+ one, as the difference is down to the width of the lockring iirc.

Yes you're right, but happily I need them for a BB30 frame.
Just curious as to what Amey did, as I've been on a merry dance around the internet and want to be sure of my facts as I'm spending someone else's money...
Being thicker on the DS, they'll need narrower spacers and I'm hoping he'll already have figured that out.

Anyone got a spare non drive side end cap for a pair of 3D cranks? I lost one today on the way to a race.

I recently got my hands on a rotor track and i was wondering does anybody know where i can source the washer/spacer that goes in between the bb and crank arm?

Velotech in Coventry are your best bet. Importers for Rotor

what BB/adapter would I need to use with these cranks?
I have a threaded bb in my frame.. this whole rotor system is confusing me greatly
Hi
Having a Rotor 3d 24 mm cranks question :
What bb to buy to put those cranks on a BB86 PF41 frame ? Rotor guidance says their UBB cups, i was wondering if there was another option out there ?
