I'm also thinking of going down a similar route with the Pacenti/Novatec

Frame is arriving tomorrow (54), also HY RD. Rims came and look beautiful, spokes are en route.

Hubs came from this seller who says they're 771 rather than 711 (just the newer model, it seems), but are still stuck in China somewhere waiting to be shipped. I'm expecting them in a week or two.

I've no idea why they were cheaper than other sellers but I've triple-checked that they are the correct ones and he assures me that they are. He's also marked down customs so there shouldn't be any issues on import.

Total build cost for the wheels was £190 (Novatec 771 - Sapim Laser - Pacenti CL25), which I'm pretty happy with.

Ha, everybody says that. I like it, it matches the silver hubs.

It's a bit like a white stem (which is pure, gleaming, euro-goodness).

@Lukeyp had those Sram ones on there for a few months now, I'm not sure you've ever even seen me ride this bike have you? I'm particularly fond of my 53t big ring, despite it being totally unnecessary.

Another 'dale...Newest addition to the family of gates...I have a full Shimano 600 groupset that will be going on alongside the 600xWolberx28c wheelset pictured. probably gonna copy the rad #cannondalerack that I envied! although I'd like to do a build with drops to see how it rides too..

the forks clear 32's on 23mm rims, will wait and see if the frameset can clear 32's on 19mm rims, but I doubt it...

Rather depressingly I can't actually think of anything left to upgrade on this now I've got the Ventus bars on, which means it has ceased to be a project. Better start saving for that T3.
