  • We were discussing the way the camera handles different light sources, but looking at images where the WB had likely been drastically shifted in post. Thats all.

  • Results of my first star trails experiment with the GX1.

Airlie monument star trails. Maybe a bit busy. by Michael M Rennie, on Flickr

  • really good.

  • wow! pretty awesome for a "first experiment"!

  • I can't get over how good that bus portrait is @HPx93 I'm a big fan of blue blacks, too, so I think the pushed post is bang on!

  • Agreed.

  • "the most megapixels" LOL

  • Wanna get a new body.

Got a D3 and tempted to get a D3S but with nikon moving forward Im tempted by the D750 or the D810 anyone used either of these new ones?

  • D750 + grip.

  • Is it the one then, I just love the handling of the pro bodies and haven't had a camera with grip added on before. Whats its performance like in real world?

Ive heard its as good as D4s in lowlight and auto focus.

  • Never used the new Nikons. I've used gripped Canon 5Ds and the full-size 1DX though, and its pretty close ergonomically, if you prefer the vertical grip.
I suppose it makes a nice convertible camera that you can always reduce the size of if you're going on holiday or whatnot, rather than schlepping a D3s around...

  • Cheers, I knew what I was aiming for and read about what I was going to do. Think the little GX1 handled it quite well. Not too noisy.

  • Yup, what @⑦up said. To be honest, I think the OOC shot handles the colours pretty well, but sodium plus white fluorescent is always going to be a bit of a compromise.

Leaving aside the colour stuff, it is a lovely portrait.

  • enjoying these man, the film one is lovely too.

How many different focal lengths are up there?
    Edit:just the two says flickr

  • Thinking of pulling the trigger on a Fuji Xpro 1
Just sold all my Dslr kit as the weight was pissing me off on full days out
    Anyone got one?

  • What did you have that was so heavy?

  • My manfrotto Befree tripod arrived yesterday, seems good.
Not used it in anger yet, but have plans for infrared long exposure projects in the new year.

  • Bus shot on last page is a cracker

  • Not from Park cameras by any chance? I've literally ordered the same but have to wait till more stock comes in >.<

  • @Vesalius yes! ordered it on Monday, got it yesterday.
£110 was too good a price to turn down.
