6pt, Greenbank and Edscoble, thanks a lot for your help... I'll keep it, tired of ordering parts and sh*t yo, I know it will work (atm I'm on a 28t cassette, but I'll have flexibility in the future then...)... I just hope it won't look too ugly...

I googled it. the victim is the boss's PA, so that's actually pretty good.

Pity your fixed for BB 'merchandise'.
Our lab,
(legit chemical company, not that kind of 'lab'),
could conceivably have offered you a small steel can of ........
methylamine.
(Corrosive, foul fish smelling liquid, so may possibly have failed on the
'not despise' clause). -

I've been waiting 9-10 weeks for our HR to sort out my cyclescheme thing...
-
• #64936
You have to have been in post for 3 years to qualify for cycle to work in my current place.
I mean...
Who stays in the same job for 3 years? -
• #64937
That is possibly illegal (if it's using the salary sacrifice stuff)...
-
• #64938
Ha ha, our work wouldn't even cover half of that.
I've just been told it's £750 because the CFO says it is. I don't think anything I say now will make it a reasonable amount.

17 years so far for me (they had me as a summer student during my last two years of University)
@Doctor_Cake Depending on the scheme you can usually pay more yourself. I paid £750 or so on top of my £1500 cyclescheme voucher, also bought a discounted previous year bike by negotiating with the shop (Cyclesurgery).

Are Brand-X seatposts sold elsewhere under a different name? If so, are 27.2mm silver inline posts in stock anywhere?

Are Brand-X seatposts sold elsewhere under a different name?
The ones Chain Reaction sell as Brand-X are Kalloy posts. SP-369 (2014T6 tube) or SP-368 (heavier & cheaper 6061T6 tube)
-
• #64948
Where can one buy a single Kalloy seatpost? The links I find nearly always seem to be bulk buys.
-
• #64949
http://www.on-one.co.uk/i/q/SPOOTW/on-one-twelfty-mtb-seatpost should fit the bill, may not be an actual Kalloy, 27.2 silver in stock at £14.99

I love how for that Twelfty post, it comes out with a 1-star review because 3 of the 4 reviews give it 0 stars, while the other one gives it 5. The other three are just innocent questions and answers about the post, presumably from an old system.
SORT IT OUT ON-ONE!
Scoble gets a prize. Relevant to office conversation about shit secret santa gifts too (bath salts), so it's knowingly rubbish, excellent. Alright then, something game of throney for a fiver to get it up to limit and I'll buy you a beer next time I see you.
