Finishing kit must be the same, the only exceptions are if the manufacturer made a specific part for that frame. So, the Control-Tech/Cannondale stem is ok with (say) Deda seat-post and bars.
Equally, an ISP obviously means that you just need to match bars and stem.
However, it is verboten to have a Deda bar, Ritchey stem and a Zipp seatpost - it'll be a dogs dinner.
I tend to default onto 3T due to liking their handlebars, but their seatposts are, frankly, crap.

Dunno mate, I keep finding links to a US triathlete store. Seems fitting with you intention to slvls next year.
I can't imagine the aluminium wedge parts could weigh much. Actually interested to see if it works any better than a standard system.
Have to admit it may actually suit the Felt, even if it looks a little melted and droopy.

So my Cdale with thompson seatpost, zipp stem and deda bars really is breaking the rules...

Cheers.
The honest answer is that I think it will look cool from the front With zipp aero sl70s. Hopefully all the cables and wires will route invisibly to the top tube entrance point.....
....wait this isnt my thread. Soz :-/

Ah fuck, just realised i missed an ARX LTD stem on ebay last night

@Smallfurry - Would the lack of faceplate cause problems if/when you want to turn your bike into Tri-mode, or will you not be swapping bars?
-
• #185
99% of the ones on eBay are fake
-
• #187
Like having a baby's arm on holding your bars to the bike.
Woah, save that imagination for clients!

Extra £25 off if you hit £200 spend today too. -

Feck. Doubt the Zipps I want would even be compatible. I'm not awake today at all.
I was going to go with just Extensions and a 5 port Di2 Junction Box.
But a dedicated set of Hongfu tri bars are just as easy to swap too, and the zipps arent clamp on compatible.
Soz again for derail.

rather reminds me of this
which could crush steerer tubes and bars if you tightened it up too much
-
• #191
Agree with @Smallfurry I have a caad10 and zipp sl 120'mm + sl70's, can supply photos if you want?
The aero top sl70's would look sweet I reckon an occasionally go for cheaps (relative to retail) on eBay

when you acetone everything how does it matter? (Zipp SL, Kalloy Uno, Pro PLT bars)
-
• #193
@miro_o the stem talk is the equivalent of thumb twiddling whilst I waited for some cash for the groupset (@noBlakes thanks again). Im not going to be buying anything for a little bit as I've got to sell all my camera gear to fund the rest.
@Dammit yeah, i noticed, but they all seem to be 17 degrees and a slightly different colour, this one was neither. -
• #194
I believe (but have not checked this) that 3T themselves only make that stem in a 6 degree version.
-
• #195
go on Spotter you know you want to
-
• #196
Weren't 25s supposed to be faster and more comfortable than 23s on wide rims?
The 25mm would do a better job of protecting the rims than the 23mm.
-
• #197
Or just your black stem of choice plus acetone?
Evans Cycles' own stem look pretty smart with only a tiny offensive logos on the front top of the stem.

updates please
-
• #199
3T is boring. No 3T please.
And what is it about this frame that compels people to weigh everything?
