Finally got myself a proper track frame to replace the Ribble (now a full on winter bike).
To change: aero shiny black seatpost, maybe a turbo, gonna try out bullhorns / a longer stem, black front brake... not sure which one, something not too chunky, suggestions welcome.
The wheels are literally exactly what I want: gun metal grey Open Pro's on Formula hubs with double butted Sapim spokes. Rear has never seen a brake and they look sick.
Frame is bangin. The shape and rake of the forks is beautiful and the paint is perfectly ratty and fluro. It's not a Nag, but I'm inclined to leave the decals as it'd look a bit naked and generic without them. Suggestions for replacement decals are welcome... I know it's 531 but that's about it.
Just back from a spin round Richmond with a big smile on my face.

Bigger tooth chainring maybe? Looks well spinny right now.

It's 42 x 17 as that's what I had in the parts bin. 65", so yeah, it's spinny, but so much fun. I reckon about 65" is actually perfect for around town.

I suppose there's no serial on it?
Fork and steel suggest late 70/early 80s UK builder to me. Anyhoo looks like quality enjoy ^_^

If you live in it sure, not if you want to get somewhere ;)

It is actually. Responsive as all hell. Fun runaround.

That's what the 1x10 winter bike and 2x11 fancy bike are for!

There's 472 on the BB shell, drilled short point lugs and wrap over seat says... might put some detail shots in the "identify this" thread. Hillary Stone believed it to be 80s...

Hillary knows his stuff, so I may be off there.
3 digit serial with little information suggests small builder to me, the big places often add a lot more digits to identify year/model etc. No doubt he said that too though... ;)
The Veteran Cycle Club is best for Mystery Frames, though you have to join. It's just £35 a year though. And he may have said THAT too ;)

I will look after a 700c if I can but the 2 I'v got is 650c 28h...
Did you find the hubs for the CXP14 32h ? -
• #98192
Black or silver Gran Compe's.

I think the Colnago decals look a bit naff because of the way the are positioned - maybe try some Condor decals or similar?
Spin to Win always! -

Yep, I just need to find a marque that has some relevance to the frame or me. Reynolds maybe... or Scots Porridge Oats...
