  • Paying extra for ceramics, when you won't be using a brake? Why not CD coated?

  • Great wheels mind

  • 520 hubs is almost 36h until proven otherwise...

Ceramic sur un piste nipon : /

  • Nice Bush. All NJS should be shot with a Zen Garden.

  • Well I paid almost nothing for the ceramic version anyway. I will be running a front brake eventually and (around Tokyo obligatory), so the ceramic versions make sense to me - brakes won't leave a trace on the rim whereas the standard CD version the wear will show.

  • Actually I planned on building these wheels for a different (French) bike, but seeing as they're here, the Bridgestone is here, I may as well use them.

And anyway it's far more unique as a build, I doubt there's another pair anywhere around here.

  • fair enough

  • Got some posh cranks on the nature boy. I also have an ec90 fork waiting to go on there. It might get drops too, but is so much fun with risers i might just keep them.

  • :,(

I hate sscx and nature boys now

  • The Terminator T-1000 paint (hd 138) cost me 200£

  • got this frame about a week ago, lee cooper for 14bikeco and as of today ive basically finished building it. sorry for tragic iphone picture. gonna strip the fork and repaint it (the bike is 700x700 but the previous owner put a ratty fork in which is has tighter clearance and its generally nicer, except now im gonna make it the same colour as the frame, or maybe leave it raw?) ive been thinking of what nice black bar tape or grips to get and i think il just get newbaums cotton tape again unless someone has a better suggestion?

  • Picked up a crankset for the Bridgestone:

  • Where the fck did you stumble across this? It was made by one of my friends in Berlin

  • Ein Auge auf meine Tochter und die andere auf der Welt... ; )

    Wings of Campagnolo

  • Built myself a beater for the winter! KHS Montana Comp -96.

  • yes!

  • new frame day

  • Going for something similar with drops, just a generic frame with tange OS CrMo. Hope I will be in time for snow, if there will be any this year ("insert global-warming-bitching here").

  • it's an Orłowski SS made from zona tubing. base paint already done and waiting to be painted maybe next week...

  • Ah fuck, sorry to hear that dude.

  • Anyone got a cheap unbranded 110mm 6 or 10deg stem in black and some equally cheap black 31.8 risers for sells?

  • Spent the morning on the bike, 80km round trip to Takizawa cycles and back. Pics of the shop here. Just about my favourite shop here, it's near the Green Dome and would seem to support the riders with a full stock of NJS parts.

Full apart from hubs anyway, unfortunately the 7710 F&R sets were out of stock, at 99 quid they seemed fairly reasonable. Picked up some needed parts though:

They had a roulette game at the till too and I won 10% off :) Shame I couldn't have included some hubs in that though.

Fairly sure I've everything to make a rapid, if far from perfect build of the Bridgestone now.
