Thanks for the info, looking around I figure my one was from around maybe 2003 or a little later. But certainly not the latter version.
As I'm not seeing anything locally I'm thinking I'll wait for my wheels to arrive and put on my larger 12-27 cassette and a standard 52x39 crankset and see how that goes. I think it ought to be ok as I've been using solely 36x19 going up hills which has been fine, and the above setup would give that and some easier gears too.
Anyway I took it out today, stuck to just a flat section in the big ring, then a hill in the small, was pretty good. I went looking for a local keirin pro I've seen practising with their coach on a set of gentle hills before and as luck would be they passed me by as I was sat having a drink, think it was the same person anyway.
Shame I couldn't get some better pics really. They practice on the inclines pictured over on my flickr.
Took a nice loop around some new roads - the joy of having a GPS with me, came across a shrine deep in the forest having taken a chance on a fork in the road.

Recently finished my first ever build - a total utter ball ache. Built it for my girlfriend.
Ended up costing me more in tools than it did in actual bike bits, and more in time cleaning and polishing components than it did assembling. Learned a lot though.Picked up this frame cheap..
And then also found this for an absolute bargain (recently moved to NL and Concordes are ten a penny here) - too big for my girlfiend, paint is a mess on this one and it was absolutely filthy - but had a full shimano 600 tricolor groupset on it which i've transferred over
After a lot of screaming and an unquantifiable amount of tea, I finally finished and have managed to take a few snaps..
Would prefer some different tyres but these will be fine for now on the smooth dutch cycle paths. I did buy it a brand new sparkling white turbo saddle, but after all my work and hard earned money spent, my girlfriend swans along right at the end and replaces it with a more lady friendly option - think it looks alright though so am okay with it...just.

As said, iconic Belgian brand with some great stories around it. Frames are good but nothing special. I just like the combination of red with white panels, black and gold luglining and chrome I guess :). But one of them will go when this one is finished.
Not only flandria's in the stable by the way, also working on this project:

I've been working on this MONGOOSE MAURICE 2010 for the last few weeks.
Still need to buy a rear cog and it is ready. Sawed the chainstay bridge off as it was limiting the first 1,5cm of the dropouts. bad design there. A value frameset!
