The OG Solaris was made in the 70s. It's long but it's a classic. Makes the remake feel a like a trailer.

Space Station 76
They pretty much made a full-length film out of the Pan-Am shuttle scene in 2001
It works, because they bury it in irony. But only just.

I really enjoyed Interstellar
I'm a bit on the fence, it was half 2001, half Gravity - managing to be neither a straight bit of sci-fi or a Hollywood Blockbuster (if you get what I mean?).
Basically, every time it drew me in, it almost instantly dropped a clanger.

Was the Rover decent at all?
Watched Enemy with Jake Gyllenhaal the other day. No jump-scares, just a creeping feeling of fear. Enjoyed watching youtube analysts debate it afterwards.

Love nightcrawler last night. About to see fury. Bring it on.
The trailer for that in the shadows vampire thing looked brilliant.
I'm digging film atm.

We have watched Motorcycle Diaries and Amores Perros, recently too.
Man crush for Gael Garcia Bernal.. -

Nymphomaniac vol.I & II.
Staggering actually. Like being fucked in the ear and receiving a sticky load of diametrically opposed humanist perspectives on the unspoken or unconsciously motivating issues that drive us.

Stop! Every time 2001 is floated out for comparison the light from a dead star reaches Earth.

Just watched Prisoners (2013 - Gyllenhaal). Jesus, so heavy going - so beautiful though.

Was Guardians of the Galaxy just a promo for whatever the next quadrology will be like? I honestly cannot remember any of it, and I finished watching it 12 hours ago.

I hope so as I quite enjoyed it.

I loved The Rover. Guy Pearce is great, Pattinson is fantastic in my opinion.

I only meant, that's what it was trying to be, not what it managed to be ;)

Maybe I set my expectations too high to really enjoy it, and I really wanted to! but all I can remember are random scenes of dancing and shots into characters eyes to try and seek out whatever emotion they were supposed to be emoting at the time.

Guardians was good. Again in part to great score.
Need to watch that, never had a chance with the very limited screening.
