Has anyone bothered with The Skeleton Twins this weekend? Cineworld only have showings gone 9pm and part of me can't be fucked going that late.

This is what annoys me - if it didn't try and take itself so seriously I would have been happy to suspend belief and just enjoy the ride. I did like certain scenes, especially the representation of the space and time construct - very mindwarp. When I have an afternoon to kill I'll go see it at an IMAX.

I dig that Interstellar exists. I've got time for ambitious sci-fi and even film that doesn't er... make sense.

I loved Memento and The Prestige and thought Inception was utter bollocks. Interstellar is also bollocks but I enjoyed it. You get to sit in cinema and contemplate wormholes! I reckon Nolan deliberately keeps the audience obtuse with half-baked characters, WTF dialogue and meandering plot. I can see how that pisses people off. It's also easier than writing a really great script.

Having just seen Gravity it was nice not to watch Clooney+Bullock in space, playing themselves, in space. I actually thought Gravity's final scene and much of the space action / sound design was surprisingly clever.

I'm pretty sure Interstellar is less clever than it sets out to be.

Not been to the cinema much this year with the missus, she fell asleep watching '20,000 days on Earth' We agreed that 'All is Lost' was better than 'Gravity'. So I have raided my DVD collection, made popcorn and in recent weeks we watched:-

Just watched young ones (not that one) t'was good, bit of a slow burner but decent performances. Quite liked the slightly futuristic, slightly apocalyptic western premise.

Delicatessen is great fun :D

I didn't like Gravity but in hindsight I think it may have been really good compared to Interstinker

Watched the two latest Spiderman movies at the weekend. How does Andrew Garfield fit his gigantic bouffant under his Spidey mask?

Not as good as the previous trilogy where they played for laughs, now Peter Parker is a mopey, insuffarable drip.

Just started watching Hunger Games on Film4, and the Wobblecam is doing my head in. I'm guessing it'll only get worse as they start to run around n shit.

Andrei Tarkovsky's Mirror - One of those movie no doubt every film student has to watch but it truly is excellent.

Magic realism, symbolism, and the colours and visuals are fantastic. Looking forward to Stalker now.

Saw Interstelloorrr last night, it's bullshit, but tremendous bullshit. Didn't feel like 3 hours, which is a plus, but I don't think I'd watch it again.

The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou - First viewing. Only a decade late. Love it. I wish Steve was my Dad.
We're The Millars - This wasn't my choice and I had set myself up to be truly disappointed. Suprisingly, it was pretty good. Not 'LOL' funny, but 'lol' funny.
Edge Of Tomorrow - Currently halfway through this, but I'm intruiged and really want to watch the rest. A toddler + pregnant Girlfriend = early bedtimes, which means it takes 2-3 evenings to watch a full film...Emily Blunt was present in my dream last night.

Tom Cruise and Jennifer Aniston are tolerable. What's going on?

Oh and the Life Aquatic soundtrack is just too good.

I loved We're The Millers but the humour's quite..broad.

I recently saw the life aquatic for the first time, it was great.

The Grand Budapest Hotel was amazing. All Wes Anderson's films are brilliant.

Anyone seen Bottle Rocket?
