Bear in mind that it never looks quite as good as it does in the photos, but it's still quite pleasant. Very much black with a bit of 'ah, there is' colour only visible up close, and even then not too bright once you've been riding with it a while. Feels alright though.

How does it compare to Lizardskins?

Feels a bit more plush, not as grippy. Is on Rosie's Look so I can't report how it wears as it's only done about 100 miles.

I think I'm probably sold on it.
Unless glittery bar tape does exist somewhere.

The grease thread is also the de facto thread preparation thread.
The Loctite 248 lipstick has at least two fans there.

They're not for the track?

That they aren't track wheels. There's nothing especially bad about using a suicide hub on a road bike with two brakes

i have a gipiemme disc wheel and rear H3 both wheels are absent of a lockring thread however they have original track hubs. its confusing- there is the thread that i put the cog on, i get that on nice and tight, and then there is no thread for a lockring. gonna be honest -it holds up to skids very well, just like there was a lockring there, been using for a few months and its never skipped, spun off, etc. i think ive been told by someone not everyone uses lockrings on the track, is this true? and these wheels worth less than ones with the lockring thread, or the same price?

It's confusing to a 12-year old who doesn't realise that in the olden days, multiple freewheels were attached to that single 1.37×24RH thread for use in time trials. They are not track wheels, they are road wheels.

@JSSR you can get screw on freewheels for gears and the threads are the same size, usually they will have a bunch of spacers on the axel but the actual hub will be similar width to a track hub but one sided and twice as many threads(like the freewheel side on a flip flop/track hub).

what do people think about track wheels that do not have a lockring thread?
I've never started any threads about the lockrings on any of my wheels, so I reckon it's fine.

Thanks but I purchased a Corima Ellipse yesterday. That is awesome in a 90's MTB kind of way though!
Maybe a bit to purple for my build :) -

"Best" cantis to order online right now?
That intersection between quality and cost. For a Karate Monkey that's been turned into a touring bike, and use to commute on (in theory. I haven't commuted on it in a year. But it's the only bike I have with a rack).

I think I've got some knocking around somewhere, from a Cotic.

Can you get away with Vs or mini Vs, cantis are rubbish.
-

Canti's are great if you are touring and know how to set them up well as they can be made to brake as well on buckled wheels as non buckled... For day to day commuting I'd totally go for vbrakes though.
Neither of these answers particularly helps if you know you want canti's for touring... Which may be what H wants?
In case you aren't thinking about touring you can probably get a good set of used v's from a polo player for very little... I might have one spare if you want to come to newt?

Yeah - you mentioned this once before but I never heard back. Let me know?
