You realise all this time off the bike gives you time to build a stupid retro mtb, right? We need a hhsmtb contingent..
The time off the bike was spent clearing out the cellar and building the Oak I picked up recently, but I'm back on it now!
The P7 will eventually be resurrected pretty much as above, but it needs the seat tube replacing first and a respray. This will be delayed for a bit by the purchase of the Oak but will happen eventually :)
Have you considered pre-loved retro wheels? You can get some good value wheels on retrobike etc.
@smolders thank you for confirming that my dream is worth living. :D
@jontea s'all good. I have a set of untouched black outers if you need em ;)
@paininthe, you know what, I don't actually know why I went for cantis. It just seemed the natural choice and i've never tried them. Mudguard clearance? I know my other bike with V's has zero clearance over 2.1's. If these turn out to be rubbish i'll make the switch no problem.
I saw that thread when I was buying this (from Dossa, same forum)!
The stem/bars/frame decals are nice! The ones on mine are from the same guy, but they're faded in places..
