Also reminded I have a blood pressure monitor we bought because my wife freaked out during the registration check up at her new GP and posted coronary levels due to white coat effect
When living in South Africa, I urgently needed Telkom (like BT, only more so) to get something done, but they wouldn't talk to me because the line was in my wife's name. I ended up taking a phone to my wife's hospital bed while she was recovering from an operation.
The nurse took her blood pressure while she was doing battle with them. Her telkomrage lead to a reading that caused the nurse to give up and come back later.

Great, gives me a chance to get the Monty Cat out. Here he is in a box far too small for him, and kipping on the end of my bed like a weirdo. I love British Shorthairs so much.
Hold tight having trouble with pics.

Arggghh the mice are driving me crazy. I can see how people are driven mad by the furry little fuckers. I saw one last night so I laid a trap down with some Sknickers bar on it. In the morning I came down and the food had been eaten but the trap did not activate. Willie little fuckers. I am getting a cat in the New Year to sort them out properly.

Good luck with that. We never had a mouse problem before we got cats, now they catch mice in the field over the road and then release them in the house. They've worked out that it's easier to go and catch a new mouse than to tease the current mouse out from under the fridge.

James, the male cat, eats mice, Tesla and Higgs, both female cats, play with mice.

About the heart murmur thing- we had a cat, name of fluffy, diagnosed with a heart murmur when she was around about 13. It didn't seem to make any odds whatsoever. She lived to be something over twenty, in the end. Not sure how old, to be frank, we lost count of the years. Had a dislocated shoulder blade too, not that she cared.

If a cat follows you home...it is yours right?
-
• #3241
Nope. You're theirs. At least whilst they want you.

We have had a bird feeder in our garden for about 5 months now. It's near a chain link fence which the local cats are not happy to climb and so the birds have been merrily munching unbothered. My neighbour has now put up proper panel fencing and for 4 hours this morning one of the local cats was sat on the fence patiently waiting by the bird feeder (which was empty so no nom noms for the cat). I've moved it to a better place and surprise surprise mr cat ceased his vigil.

I just saw this http://imgur.com/a/emSF2 and now feel super bummed out.
I have a cat who's 15 now who I only get to see when I go home a few times a year, getting her was one of the best things to ever happen to me and growing up as a teenager was a lot easier having her by side, loyal to a fault.

Thanks. That is very reassuring to hear. I realised I was giving him double painkillers on the penultimate day of his treatment whoops! but he is his usual soppy demanding cuddly self this week.
