Used to be Dick Shepphard school on that site.
Had something of a reputation.... -

Old: One Tree Hill, nice one for tagging that. Has a special place in my heart, first brought to my attention the last time it was tagged 3 years ago and where I subsequently asked a very big question to someone very special.
New: from 1 to 12

Glad you got to take a trip UP memory lane, as for the new tag….I'm stumped….

If that lamp is where I think it is - is that not on private / gated / guarded land?
-
• #15706
The gates are always open though!

And even if it were, do you really think that would prevent Nick from tagging it? :)
The clue obviously points to a certain area quite easily, but as it's not on StreetView you'll have to ride around there for a bit to find it if you don't already know where it is (in which case, for those new to the game, it's easy).
Now if only there was anyone commuting from South London to Walthamstow. :)

Went up one tree hill today thanks to the tag. Can't believe I've never been up there! Lovely view.

It's better in the winter - once the foliage drops off....

Are daylight hours required? I'd expect it to be lit.

That is a very good point (although it's not a wonderful area for night time excursions). I'd have to think of a nocturnal follow-up...

Moar?

• #15714
ehhh... I'm surprised it's still standing tbh. I think the clue's pretty obvious (and I'm usually terrible with clues). I really want to get there this afternoon.... but obvs no claims (bet I'm tagzumped now!)

Trying to figure out whether I can be late for work / be arsed to get up earlier, and not be late - versus - work babbage machine barring LFGSS in it's current incarnation, leaving me at the mercys of the iPhone....

Oh dear, only just got it. May hang by there on Saturday, if it isn't got before.

• #15717
well, I had a bit of tag fail this evening... I went there, more or less, but just got too spooked. I got as far as the Private Estate gates and lost my nerve amongst the mist and darkness and trees and industrial sheds. so turned back for the bright lights of the nearest A-road flyover. I don't really advise going there alone at night :/

Was hoping to see a broomstick tag of broom.
Such dissapoint. -
• #15719
Wow, I can't believe you've never been up there either. It's a great spot for snagging crumble ingredients around this time of year.

How is this still not done?! come on!

Another memorial. -

Count on Jurek to pick a ridiculously obscure location that will keep people searching for weeks.
-
• #15725
I'm not sure you have the luxury of weeks......
'Sides - it's topical, seguays nicely with the old one, and probably a little more obscure than the recent tag of Buck House.
The challenge with this one is to get close enough to the railings to be able to see.....
No but I am nor riding there now.
