I did a quick search, but it's doing my head in a bit.
Tips on best insurer? I'd want coverage in the range of a few thousand. But I've probably not realized some other issues I need to consider.
Tips?

Thanks guys. Maybe I'm just panicking a bit, can't have the little fucker being depressed or such like!

Fig, the beautiful but demonic cat I looked after last week, is very vocal. She miaows, screeches, wails and growls. She's just doing it to piss everyone off - the other cat has gone deaf, probably deliberately.

Gomez had his tooth out on Thursday, he went in this morning for a post-op check up and he had a chunk of food stuck in the gap in his gum. So now we have to check his mouth after he's eaten and pick out any stuck food ...should be a laugh because he wont let me near it.

we've just bought new sofas and new dining room chairs and the cats have already started using them as scratching posts. Mother fuckers.

tbf his teeth are really healthy he just broke one being a bully.
I might get that kit though, might as well start as we mean to go on. I also need to switch my pet insurance to someone that covers dental work, because it was a shock when I tried to claim and found out I wasnt covered.

I still vote the cat is trying to tell you something. ;)
At least you don't spend time asking what's up and trying to figure it out. I just meow back.

Am more amused at watching you do that.

I'm with PetPlan. Probably costs a bit more than other policies but never been any quibble and it covers dental and whole of life treatment, so if the cat gets a chronic illness it is covered for life.
The vets like it too (not sure if they get commission) but it means the vet instantly knows what is covered.
The limit of normal cover is around £4000 a year, which from my experience is enough to cover a cancer tumour removal and some. This is the second cat I've had insured under Pet Plan and honestly I cannot recommend them highly enough. Sam 7 spent his final days in a specialist pet hospital and had an MRI, which came to around £2500. I only had to pay £85.
The only thing to be wary about is when your renewal month is, because if the cat is having treatment around renewal date you might get caught with paying the excess twice.

While the scratching posts go untouched?

A least Opie is cute and you can stroke him. I'm cat sitting and the anti social git does not want to be stroked or touched. But seems to want to annoy me with her tail, or scratch stuff.

in this boundless expanse of cats, one stood out for his outstanding valor. His efforts for Britain’s Royal Navy during World War II -- first surviving a brutal attack that killed his caretaker, then proceeding to annihilate rats and raise the morale of his crew -- made him a national hero and earned him the prestigious Dickin Medal. To this day, he is the only cat to ever receive the award.
made for a good read

I forgot about this picture of Gomez, all spaced out a few hours after his tooth operation. He was still a little drowsy from the anaesthetic.

I really need to get my cat to the vet but its so hard to get any time off. The poor thing was passing quite large red crystals last night and really straining for a leak. This happened to anyone elses cat? What was the cause/cure?
does anyone mix water with the biscuits to get the cats to drink more water? Might try it with a few tonight.
