Marco van Basten had stepped down as head coach at AZ citing heart palpitations. Apparently they got worse since the death of his father earlier this year.

I remember when he retired at AC Milan he was very clear that he wanted to step away from football for good as the stress he suffered was unbearable for him and needed time away from the game.

From the small sample size of this season looks like Fabregas, Courtois and Costa are the ones who are doing the heavy lifting.

People underestimate the difference that Matic has made to the Chelsea team especially given how well Costa and Cesc are doing but he allows these other players to profer.

Matic has made a huge impact and it's not to be underestimated how much he contributes.
