@miro_o @AngelD I got both the ferrules and the rubber things on ebay. Just did a quick search for jagwire ferrules. they sell seperately.
They were quite cheap also, something about £2.

So, today brings my first proper project build in the shape of this lovely old steel frame

To be built up as a UPS brown semi sensible courier style winter bike, that's the plan anyway...may change along the way!!

Plus rat paint with new parts can't be right?

So I bought @swedeee vivalo with some bits and just stuck some wheels on it, totally not copying the way he had it ha. Most likely gonna swap out the back wheel and try sell it or trade it for something black and or even just get a new wheelset in the future, maybe throw a zen on it too.

for me the whole thing bout rat is that it is an unsuspecting quality build due to having a cosmetically challenged frame.

but hey, it's your bike. do whatever you want.

I've found similar here. These are basically 'boots' to stop dirt travelling up the cable.

Whilst one of those looks really similar to like the ones @Murphys_Law is using for fully-sealed, they're not the same. By the looks of it you'd not get the teflon tube through the smaller dia opening :-(
