  • Ah, that. Second week in they had a string quartet. Hilarious.

  • Pro-level farmer's market...

  • will be stocking up on essentials in ye olde brixton market tomorrow, got to get my cooking game on...

anyone in these parts have a pressure cooker I can borrow over the weekend?

  • Heads up - some kids (teenagers/young adults?) tried (piss poorly) to pull me off my bike last night at the top of Shakespeare Road around 1:30am. Group of four. First two walked into the street from the left as two of us approached - "hey, let us have a go on your bike" "nope." Get by them the other two have also moved into the street. My riding partner is on the far right, I'm in the middle. One of them gets his hand on my arm but I just ride on and the grip is lost. Never had any problems there before - ridden and walked up and down it dozens and dozens of times at all hours of day and night. Pretty happy I wasn't walking, actually.

  • Which end of Shakespeare? LJ?

  • Yeah.

  • Glad you're OK. And your mysterious riding partner.

    Fnar fnar.

    Was it Joe?

  • Nah, Rick.

  • Rain, LOL! Glad I'm not outside...

In other news... I miss James GrowUp...

  • Crazy traffic up brixton hill and down by the police station is more or less flooded

  • I'm moving to Herne Hill soon... is there a park in the area with a quiet inner ring road (in the vein of Regent's park) or similar super-quiet set of roads with minimal traffic lights?

It would be nice to have somewhere nearby where you can smash out laps for an hour or so first thing in the morning in the peace and quiet. I do that in Regent's Park at the moment before work (currently living in Hackney) and although it's a bit mind-numbing, I'll miss it.

  • Dulwich park has an inner ring road, not too far from HH

  • did someone say 'Regent'?

    what time?

Good luck dodging the herds of posh dogs, kids on pedal karts and roller bladers. A substitute velodrome it is not.

I guarantee you now that my next crash will involve Dulwich Park, a dopey weimeraner charging out of the bushes after a tennis ball launched by the wife of managing director out for her morning walkies with Fenton, the girls from the bridge club and their gaggle of demented dachshunds and highland terriers.

I practically tip-toe though there every morning with my fingers hovering over the brakes nervously scanning the shrubbery for dim-witted over-excited labradors charging across the path with their scattered attention directed anywhere but where they're going.

  • Just nail it round tulse hill gyratory 500 times #saarflondonliving

    College Road. Up and down.

  • ^this

I fucking hate that road. "I must be near the top" looks up "cock"

  • Somewhere near Herne Hill where you can ride round and round in circles with no traffic. Hmmm.

    It's a poser.

  • your a poser.

  • You're an illiterate (forrun) hoser.

  • It's an oval, not a circle...

    But not early mornings.
I think that was the question wasn't it?
Where can I hammer out some laps before going to work?

Let's have a look shall we?

  • You lot are obviously feeling grumpy because of the heat.

Got over it and feel joy at my awesome humour.

As for the OP question, you could even ride around the edge of brockwell park - bikes are allowed and it's less busy then Dulwich park.

Nothing remotely like regents or Richmond though.
