Speaking of Omega. Saw these in a shop at the weekend. Quite like the bottom one with the matt black/grey face.

I just threw my toys at Steinhart and cancelled my order.
They just emailed me to say that the order that I placed on the 16th of July (it was actually 9th July) was in a backlog and will not be shipped for another 9 working days.
Bollocks to the "in stock" status. Surely they ca't be having that much trouble packaging and shipping?
Anyway. Plenty of other watches that I don't need to piss money at.

This is pretty far down on my list of therapy priorities tbh.

Has anyone bought an old(ish) dress watch from ebay before? Worth a punt or not worth the hassle? These seem bargainous to me

Sorry, I was trying to be secretive as it was in my local charity shop in Edinburgh. Some other bastard had gone in and beaten me to it. They didn't say ho much he paid as it was offers.
Such a nice looking watch.

JLC was a redial which puts me off a bit. Also, no mention of a recent service.
The IWC looked good, but I wonder if you could get something similar for more in the £600 range.

sorry to hear you missed out. i've never heard of charity shops taking offers on items.
as a consolation will you be going to the games? -

If I had silly money I'd pick up the ceramic. I have been sniffing around the two sub dial version with the broad arrow hands...
Common sense kicks in.
I forget about it.
See it posted again and lust start all over again. Thanks a lot!

Same thing happened to my Seiko 5 I recently bought from an eBay seller in India - It was less than a tenner though. After wearing it for a week it decided to stop...Sent it back today, it was something like £3.90 to post to India.
Pifko, how did this go? I've still not got round to doing it... I feel like I might get stung on return postage, as it was free originally, and its getting round to the end of the warrantee

Finally got a full refund from the seller, despite him not actually yet receiving the watch I posted back to him. Fair play, I'll leave him some positive feedback.
^This. Still have no idea whether he ever received it or not.
Seller was rescuedwatches by the way.

I'm really liking this watch*
*which sadly probably destroys their possible sales figures immediately

It's lovely but the blue face can >>>>>>>>>>>>>>
This one for me:

• #13517
i prefer the steel bracelet version
-
• #13518
That too but i thought you didn't like bracelets?
-
• #13519
lol...
thats a watch with a steel bracelet and not a 'man-bracelet'
-
• #13520
the blue might bring out my eyes more
-
• #13521
I really like that Iain. Bit too big for a dress watch IMHO.
-
• #13522
this is how you sell that shit.

• #13523
ma eyes!

After chucking my spatzel at Steinhart and cancelling my order I have decided that I quite want to buy an Omega.
Something like this but in a better condition. Anything I should be careful to look out for or is it just the usual things?

not a pebble blasted crystal, for 1.
