Regarding Steinhart, thay can be pretty slow. When I ordered mine I got that standard email saying it will be dispatched withing 9 days of order, they dispatched it exactly 9 working days after they took the payment. Then I ordered a strap, this took so long! even after they dispatched it such that weeks later when I enquired as to its whereabouts they eventually had to send another, this time it was tracked, that one arrived in a couple of days, then the original one finally showed up after 28 days intransit!
I also ordered a ceramic bezel for it, this took a good 6-8 weeks from order, even though the website said they were in stock at time of ordering.
Anyway it all showed up eventually. But the watch has settled down to running about 12 seconds a day slow now....!The ceramic bezel is a definite improvement for the watch though. Looks so much better imo.

^ Very nice. I do love the Ocean1 Black.
Last time I bought a Steinhart I received it within a week from payment.
I reckon they could improve their logistics a little.

So what about on the other side? What is the worst watch you own? Not your 'beater', not your dress, not your shirt or your shiney. What is the watch that you still own but never wear because it was a mistake and embarrassing.
I bought this drunk one night on eBay.

This is actually the 2nd one I've owned. First was a birthday present when I was young. First 'proper' watch. I loved it and wore the shit out of it. It was one of those "£790 rrp, on offer for £79" scams you get in newspaper supplements. It eventually broke and got thrown out. Many years later on a watch forum someone was pretty much offering one as a freebie when clearing shit out of a drawer. I had to have it for nostalgia's sake, but I'd never wear it now. Still think it's pretty, but tacky, cheap and basically a Daytona knock-off.

I read on and actually agree, anything over £20k is excessive and repulsive

I lol'd at this;
There is something deeply weird and also rather offensive about expensive watches. The flashy car, I understand. A £50,000 Jaguar F Type is a much better car than a Ford Mondeo by pretty much any yardstick except fuel consumption. The high price tag is reflected in the quality of its design and build. It is entirely different driving experience.

He clearly hasn't got a fucking clue about cars either.
Its such a frustrating watch. Black and yellow good. That goldish colour? Very not good. I can see how you fell into a drunken trap on that one.
