  • ^What the what?

That is an additional sticker made up by the company made to look like a TFL sticker right.....it's so long i'd have to take out my specs to read it.....

  • "Cyclists - This vehicle is not suitable for these roads. And the driver has been working a 16 hour shift, and is off his gourd on whizz and meth. And he's on the phone. This sticker absolves us of any responsibility in driving g 20 tonnes of fast moving death."

  • Text is too small, does it say "If you are reading this sticker you are not staying back"

  • so this was spotted today and is now a thing...

    That is outrageous!

  • so this was spotted today and is now a thing...

If they've spent thousands of pounds of equipment to protect cyclists, surely it's the safest vehicle in London to cycle near?

  • only hundreds.

is it just me or does that look a bit pixels?

  • Oh, yeah. You're right. Better keep away.

  • which probably entails a sippy-cup holder and a hands-free kit.

  • When can I have this..

    "Drivers

    Get t'fuck!"

  • Midnight Express - Danger zone - YouTube

This is amazing - the first sung line appears to be "So it seems/ I'm in the wrong place once again" which is remarkably appropriate!

  • so this was spotted today and is now a thing...

"Cyclists: The vehicle is owned and operated by passive aggressive whiners attempting to preserve their sense of ambulatory privilege"

  • Has anyone made a drivers stay back sticker to put on your bag?

  • When can I have this..

    "Drivers

    Get t'fuck!"

  • Best I've seen. Advisory and unambiguous. And printed rather than stuck on. Plus it comes with a sweet fixie. NDS fail though.

Christ! Is that a learner sticker?

  • so this was spotted today and is now a thing...

    Blame me?

I've wondered whether something like "The driver of this HGV has had cycle training. Please help him keep you safe" would be more positive.

I don't know how you're meant to "keep clear" of that vehicle when filtering past it in stationary traffic though. It's like the stickers on the side of artics saying "Do not walk close to this vehicle at any time". If it's such a fucking deathtrap, what the fuck are you doing driving it into a city?

  • indeed. it's the kind of message you expect to see strapped around the neck of a man running around holding a live hand grenade.

  • i've always said those men need better signage. so unsafe.

  • I don't know how you're meant to "keep clear" of that vehicle when filtering past it in stationary traffic though.

Isn't it exactly the point though that you're *not *meant to filter if there's no way to keep clear?

  • ^Yes.

  • If it's such a fucking deathtrap, what the fuck are you doing driving it into a city?

Delivering materials to build the places we all live and work, building the railway network, delivering food, delivering bikes to bike shops...

Pretty much everything you do today will involve using material delivered by a heavy goods vehicle.

  • Well that depends on your and their definitions of keep clear.

  • More to the point, you have to be sure there is a safe place at the other end of the vehicle once you have passed it.

  • Christ! Is that a learner sticker?

Yes, probably a better idea that HGV drivers have some form of training rather than being let loose on the roads without any.

  • Delivering materials to build the places we all live and work, building the railway network, delivering food, delivering bikes to bike shops...

Pretty much everything you do today will involve using material delivered by a heavy goods vehicle.

so we should just put up and shut up while poorly driven, poorly maintained and poorly administered vehicles continue to slaughter people on the public roads because, y'know, croissants!

your apologist shtick is either outright trolling or wilful ignorance - either way, it, and you, can get to fuck.
