Doing it whatever the weather, have wet weather gear and I'll be with my bro, secretly wanted to do it in the rain, SPIRIT OF THE BLITZ

It will be wet but warm enough, just keep a regular pace and you will be fine

Might not go for a swim, though.

Looked on the met office website, looks like the rainstorm will be spreading from west to east, so if you're arriving around 7:00ish, might manage to avoid a soaking. I mainly just want it to stay dry so my mate doesn't bail!

Stolen from gifs thread:
Good news: while rain is quite likely, the rampaging dinosaur forecast is completely clear, for the whole weekend.

The worry is not so much riding in the rain (tho I'm not too enthusiastic about the idea) but more once we get there. The pub and caff can only hold so many and sitting on a beach in the rain waiting for the coaches will be a bit shit.

Now wondering if taking a tent is a good idea.

yup, my forecast says a storm on Saturday afternoon then light rain overnight. So I'll try to dodge the storm and put up with the rain.

Good luck everyone riding tomoro - done it twice (but not around this year) - its brilliant. You might start to feel a bit delusional around 3-5am, but see it thru!

This^
Part of the joy is sitting outside the pub at the start, the pubs en route, the pub at the end and enjoying a beer in the sunshine while waiting for the bikes to arrive.

Like I said up thread.
If I know or have rode with you in the past I am happy to take down a bag in the car with all your kit.
Will be at beach between 5-6.
PM me.
The Met Off is saying only 25 - 45% chance of precipitation (about halfway along the route between midnight and 7am), and even then only light showers
