Cheers man. Needs a few small tweaks. Going to give the BB30 some time before passing judgement, do some proper rides, as still a little bit nervy after what happened with the last one. For the moment though everything is looking and working great. Wouldn't change a thing. Completely rinsed my wallet, but pleased with the result. 5 weeks to train before RideLondon.

New wheels fitted to my Lemond. Just need new chainset, headset and possibly an Easton EA70 post to match the stem.

Frame 2kg, fork 1kg, wheelset with tyres and tubes 4kg, cranks and BB, 1kg, cockpit 600g, saddle and post 600g, pedals and straps 500g. Chain 300g, headset and cog 200g
Random weights that are reasonable and would make quite a heavy bike, not that it really matters.
-
• #95338
The bike is heavy due to the heavy low end steel used for the frame.
It's heavy for a track bike, not heavy for a bike. It's all relative, innit!
Also since when was 49-19 so hard? I really have been away from riding fixed for too long, need to put some miles in my legs!

Track bike are heavy, it would be apt to said it's heavy compared to a carbon road bike.
Either way, it doesn't make any difference.

Beater so far:
Indexing still causing me strife and waaaaay to small for me but I'm amazed how well she rides - very planted, quick and rolls well (open pro on ultegra, 6 yrs old and still true and fast).
Soon as I sort out gearing and put an inline post in for a normal sized person I'll have to let her go. Shame.
