That's perfect. Better start stashing chips.

Nice review:

But looks nicer in person I must add. I got mine for around 540 EUR, new, without logo or any branding (like in the above review).

Also, a strap with rivets is much nicer IMO, especially on an aviator. Think it's a bit more expensive now, or I got it without VAT before we got in EU. But I got burned with customs fee and shipping was not cheap either, so in the end, it's more or less the same.

Mick's watch, that supposedly mingin' quartz Seiko up there ^ looks like dog shit in pictures but really cool IRL, IMO, FWIW.

I like the logo on the front and the branding on the buckle. Why is it with everything you start with a strict budget and just multiply by at least 2?

I already saw this review, it looks so nice in those pics.

Here's a cheaper alternative:
But not a fan of the crown, also one rivet?? Repulsive, so it might work with another strap with two smaller rivets or NATO/ZULU straps.
Edit: Ah, size 45 has straps with two rivets.

Not sure, but it seems to be unavoidable :)

This is one is not bad at all:
Stowa is still a bit better, but this is very good, and cheaper.
Edit: 45 is too big, so 42 might work, just with another strap.

'Look at me, I'm a douchebag' watches?
The second one is justified, if you have a real need.

What pray tell is wrong with an early Breitling Navitimer?
Not hip enough for you?
(You can keep the last one)

^^^ That IWC looks like a bad Seiko mod or a dodgy Parnis.

Is 'Schaffhausen' German for 'Home of cock'?

Would look a hell of a lot better in silver as opposed to the bronze/rose gold.

Given. Rose Gold is the wankiest of wank.

BTW, the Seiko 5 I posted about a while back that needed work was sent off to VanUnden's mate a couple of weeks ago. Got back from holiday today to find it waiting for me. Couldn't recommend the guy enough. Excellent service, really nice guy and the watch is spot on.

^ He's a gem isn't he, and really knows his stuff. Glad you're happy with the results.

Pfft, you're just too poor to pull if off.

I'll pull anything off for a fiver.
Not Rose Gold though, the turkish delight of precious metals...

Snigger.
Mentioned it few times already, Stowa Flieger, can be had for 500-600 EUR brand new hand-build, or for cheaper second hand. It's the best aviator (in current production) for the money that I know of. There are a few that come close or surpass it, but are also more expensive.
