I tend to rely on the cabin crew - although a 'yes, I think I would quite like another bloody mary' function on my watch would be quite useful.

D'oh! It looks so nice though.

Sadly I haven't quite elevated my skills or position to the point I can delegate to my co-pilot. Generally it's me doing the flying...

TBH nobody takes a loved timepiece down the baths doh.
(Unless you are of affluent / carefree stock or an Oil rig diver)
This was clarified by 2 friends who on seperate unrelated occasions dunked their wares in the deep end without screwing the crown in properly.
Tears.

:-D I was being facetious and meaning that my flying skills end at stowing my bag, doing up my seatbelt and ordering a drink. Kudos for you actually piloting the things!

Laco do some Fliegeruhr with Miyota automatic movements which claim to be waterproof to 5ATM:

Well I'm not looking for a loved timepiece, I'm looking for something I can wear every day, that I like the look of, and will withstand being on the bike and in the rain. My gold Omega feels way too ostentatious for everyday use and I'm also really precious of it.
I know most watches will be splashproof but I'm being overly cautious after the G-Shock I took to Vietnam and Cambodia specifically with the knowledge it would get abused, stopped working within less than a week after the mouth-breathing waste of space who changed the battery didn't replace or re-seat the seal, and I went for a swim in the sea.
I bought that 10 footer Bell & Ross rep some might remember I posted in here, but it was a pretty pointless replacement as it's mostly a pile of wank.

I prefer the term "visually complex" myself! ;)

Surely it's a requirement for pilots to have a spare E6B up their sleeve for when things go tits up! Damn kids and their fancy technology!

Don't really know if it is possibly but I have a Poljot watch with a rectangular face, similar to this.
however the crystal has a big split in it, I was wondering how easy it is to get this replaced and how much it would cost or is it very much a case of sending it to the manufacturer to service and fix? have no clue about my options tbh.
