  • Impressive, but vile.

  • Swatch fans, I have a Swatch Silverish Irony Crono BNIB for £70. Annoyingly it's too big for my small wrists. Not by much, but I like a firm strap. This one:

  • Given. Rose Gold is the wankiest of wank.

    Touch me bro

That incarnation, true. You can however (assuming a wallet the size of Japan) order it in any specification of face you like. I could see this in black and white without the nameplate - oh god, I can hnnnnnnnnnnnn

    Sorry, as you were.

  • ^^Swap ya for me swatch

  • I would trade but sorry im not a fan of swatch.

  • Right - which of you lot on here commutes fixed on Camberwell road - runes on the jersey with a set of keys bearing both a Rolex and Bell and Ross lanyards. Must be on here and in here.

  • Ok...just a week after saying that I'm through with buying watches and I want to save up for THE watch, whatever that may be I now have a gap in my collection.

I've only got chunky diving watches at the moment. Now that I have sold my Junghans I don't have anything that fits under a shirt sleeve for work.

I'm tempted by a Flieger style watch (perhaps a Steinhart) but I'm ultimately ruing my decision to flog my Rolex Air King 5700. Can anybody suggest a reasonably priced small automatic steel watch with simple face and satisfyingly solid bracelet?

I keep thinking about a Smiths Everest and then I remember that they are actually quite chunky. I quite like the Armida A7 (whatever their explorer homage is) but I already have an Armida.

So...simple smallish steel automatics. What should I consider? I don't want to pay more than £500.

  • Vintage Omega De Ville or Geneve?

  • Oris Big Crown?

  • Good call. I will do some research. I know nothing about Omega.

Thinking about it I'd consider strap rather than a bracelet. I almost considered quartz but >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

  • Oris Big Crown?

    Very nice. Cheers for that.

I can't help but think of "up the Oris" when I see that brand though.

  • Just realised that's a lady's one, but you get the idea. They did them without the pointer date too.

  • You may struggle to get a £500 example...
    #notanexpert

  • lovely - i'd lose the date, though

  • S'up red.

  • You may be right...

  • S'up red.

  • I'd still like one... So many dodgy ones about tho'...

  • Maybe I go quartz :D
