  • I don't do Americaland. Anywhere in this country that will do a close approximation?

Not that I have found. Next time I knock one up will bring some leftovers to central. Because there are always leftovers. I get 9-10 slices like this:

  • 2kg of pizza? Game on.

  • although..

I said burn, but meant brown (as in burn).
    Good article too.

  • 2kg of pizza? Game on.

    It's a fucking quiche.

  • So... say you feel like having a proper seafood platter, lots of choice, all fresh, (money is no objection....ha!)....Where do you go, in London, Please!?

And I mean to eat out, not bloody billingsgate market.
    Fanx.

  • I keep forgetting seafood in London is squid and mussels.... meh.

  • J Sheekey's

  • Berners Tavern do a good seafood platter

  • J Sheekey's

this place is amazing. Recommend herring roe on buttered toast for dessert.

  • agreed. even the fish pie. Just like Mum (never) made.

  • berners tavern. it's not a tavern, but they did give us about 40 quids worth of free cocktails on account of the bar-boss giving the ones his peon made that weren't 100% perfect to us on the house. too pissed to remember the food. i think i had a porkchop.

  • It's a fucking quiche.

I prefer apple pie but, whatever. Fucking quiche, fucking pie, it all ends the same.

  • I'd be off to Bentley's for a fish dinner.

Tenuous link, but I thought these things had disappeared along with my childhood, until recently I found them almost hidden in an unexpected Sainsbury's aisle. Glad to find they're as mouth-puckeringly stringent as they ever were. Only 2 packs remained there tonight so I bought both. In fact I probably bought the rest since we were reunited. Bloody love them and how they coat my fingers with a second reward of power-flavour.

  • Interesting. Vinegar can piss right off though.

  • The flavour is perfectly balanced but savage - most salt and vinegar snacks don't turn me on much but these have a peculiar taste all of their own. I can happily douse chips from the chippy in vinegar until it runs from the cone like a slug's trail as I walk and chomp.

    Shit.

  • can 2nd that j sheekey recommendation, went there for a work thing, seabass was amazing..
pricey but I wasn't paying so didn't care..

  • My (soon to be) new kitchen! Finally got room and no more 'housemates' who don't understand what 'clean' means! ^_^

  • Needs a range cooker in that recess ;)

Having space to cook is something that I dearly cherish. Good stuff.
