Hey, newbie here but I will be there, albeit a bit worried about taking my single speed so I may bring gears. Do I still get my name on the list?
I'm going fixed, will have a spare cog in case I need it towards the end. Don't sweat it, should be fun and no rush

Dicki, has anyone sorted out coach tickets back this year or will it be another make your own way home from Dalston calamity?
-

The Overground will not be running extra trains although their bike policy is quite good.
-
• #330
They don't like you riding up and down on the trains though.
-
• #331
Better start some training for that one then.

I really want to do the DD, but I live in Manchester and the return coach to London has sold out. Does anyone know what other options there are for getting back?
-

There are usually some coach tickets available at the end as people don't take them up. You could speculate on that option. Apart from that, you could plan a nice week-end in Suffolk and return at your leisure on Sunday evening or on Monday. As the others said, you could ride to Ipswich, or to another station. The closest station, Darsham, is not a good bet, as too many people try to get on the train there.

6pt and I are tandemming it again (not fast; we might have a bit of luggage with us). Looking forward to it.

I'd be drafting you two if i could possibly hold on.
I couldn't.

If i was going North, i would head for lowestoft and get the train to Norwich from there. Bit of a pain, but decent enough connections to the north via Peterborough, even direct to liverpool.

I have a spare coach ticket, as GF broke her wrist rather than cycle 116 miles through the night.
PM me and it's yours at cost.

Brenda from Hackney Cyclists is organising
a great catering experience for the cyclists doing the Dunwich Dynamo and raise funds for the very worthy causes of Hackney Cyclists and the London Couriers Emergency Fund.
As before at the village hall of Sible Hedingham.
Starting work after lunch 2pm onwards on Saturday 12th July and finishing in the early hours of Sunday.
This is the halfway point where people come for some food tea/coffee and to fill up water.
If you wish to help PM me and I'll give you Brenda's details.
(I will be riding there on the Saturday morning from hackney, to get to Sible Hedingham for 2pm.) -

no one has bumped the dalston dynamo thread, for those who want to do less miles
Dammit. You're right. what am I thinking? Last year I promised it would be running in alternate years, mainly because I wasn't in any kind of condition to ride the whole London Fields-Dalston route.
To be honest, that first year was pretty challenging, so I'd been considering a new route this year:
Leave London Fields with the main Dunwich crowd along Ellingfort Road.
Turn Left onto Mare St.
Turn right towards the bike racks outside the Wetherspoons pub.
Lock up and stay there. -

But ... but ... that'll be the Hackney Central Dynamo.
And why would you want to go to Baxter's Court?
At least try to make it to the Pembury!

Southern Rail has increased their services in the past couple of years though, to cater for the returning riders, and that includes allowing more bikes on each train. As you say though, there are usually tickets at the beach - also at the start of the ride.

Are we doing the silly long queue at the start again? I need to know if I'm eating my pre-rid kfc before I get there or while I'm queuing.

There's a queue at the start? What for?
