A colleague of mine bought it and he still hasn't shifted to 32t which looks new hence like the pie plate ..
105 cassettes are cheap you can get a 12-27 and keep 11-32 as spare when you are training for hills I guess. -

Thanks for the help folks. If I were to swap the cassette then would the medium cage 105 derailleur still work with a 12-27 or would I have to get a short cage?
Those of you that have this model, how does it ride in general? -

The medium cage mech will work perfectly. You might need to shorten the chain a tad for it to be optimum but if you were going to switch back to a 32 large sprocket at any point you could just leave it.

jjust a question.. ROse pro SL for anyone? cheapish builds, lighter than Roadlite Al, but not so as Ultimate AL, very nice colours (whiteish finish) and componentry, decent weight (below 8 kg for most builds)
http://www.rosebikes.hu/products/kerekpar/orszaguti-kerekpar/race/pro-sl/
the site will change to the co.uk site once you click on my link. : )
I wish you hadn't posted this Halbert as I'm thinking along these lines now SL Pro 3000 with Ultegra 6800 £1150ish quid with the option to configure stuff hmmmm.
I emailed the guy at the UK HQ and he said drop in any time for a go on their test fleet. He's down in Wiltshire and I'm in Manchester though.
He also said a bloke from Road Cycling UK has one on test at the moment so there should be a review out soon. -

Thinking of selling my Canyon to fund building up my BMC frame. Anyone interested, let me know and I will do a proper sale thread.
-
• #284
what size is it?
-
• #286
Anyone know how the sponsoring system works with Canyon and weather it is for the their bike or frameset?
-
• #288
Yeah, I know about the website, just wanted to know if anyone has first hand experiences, as they say my bike i'm ordering doesn't comply with the sponsorship.

Your gna get another?? id want a refund
-
• #290
This is for a road bike than a track.
-
• #291
Never mind, sorted it out now, misread the title! I thought they would sponsor all bikes, instead only a selective few!
-
• #292
Worryingly tempted by the ultimate al slx at that price :/

• #293
^ innit

• #294
Fairly agricultural welds on them, no? Although I suppose at that price its not too bad.
-
• #295
internal routing, decent carbon fork and bits, seatpost/stem etc, + cages/bottles/pump for £550? Agricultural welds not exactly a dealbreaker.

finding a legitimate reason to buy another bike is tricky though. 'non-carbon winter trainer'?
-
• #297
how does that work? get BC membership (£32) and profit?!

Then I'd have to race, or be rumbled for n+1ing.
