I prefer the SLX at the moment but as soon as the Aeroad gets an update... like Flynn!

^ this.

No, I'm happy with Sram red.
But I like the idea of having the option there.
Or is that stupid? -

I don't think a normal cable group will work on a di2 specific frame. I would definitely get an answer from Canyon before buying anyway.
FWIW - I would take Red or Dura Ace over Ultegra di2 anyday.

10sp Ultegra yes, 11sp.... not so sure. They are improving those hideous servos...

Ultimate AL SLX: lighter

Roadlite f*cking bargain for a first road bikeI can't find any pricing for the INFLITE though :/ maybe release planned once shimano get their stuff in shops.

Bargain Canyon for small chap or a lady

thinking about canyon as a potential next road bike but confused on the geometry. the cf and the al have sport pro geometry and as far as I can tell only the aeroroad has pro. seems strange that they only have one bike with race geo, but maybe the others are race oriented enough to mean it doesn't matter?

Very few pros actually seem to ride the aeroad though, opting for the cf instead. I'd say it was probably sporty enough.

Looking for a geared workhorse/trainer with 105 and have been recommended the Roadlite AL 6.0. Great price but couldn't help noticing the cassette ratio of 11-32 which seems quite wide. I am intending to use this on the Derbyshire hills but I'm more of an old school out of the saddle grinder rather than the modern spinny way of things. Would it leave too many gaps between gears? There doesn't seem to be an option to change either unless you pick the triple package option.

Also, is it worth it to get the next model (7.0) with 11speed Ultegra, £300 quid more? I don't race but I do like churning out the miles.

jjust a question.. ROse pro SL for anyone? cheapish builds, lighter than Roadlite Al, but not so as Ultimate AL, very nice colours (whiteish finish) and componentry, decent weight (below 8 kg for most builds)

the site will change to the co.uk site once you click on my link. : )

105 cassettes aren't expensive - http://www.wiggle.com/shimano-105-5700-10-speed-cassette/ - maybe a 12-27 would suit you?
A 32 sprocket with a compact is overkill for a lot of people, I'd say. 34-32 is a very low road gear. The Canyon website seems to say it's an 11-28 actually, though I do remember seeing that Canyon were speccing an 11-32… dunno.
New Ultegra is very nice, not sure it's worth an extra £300 on a training bike though. There have been a few places doing deals on the full groupset around the £450 mark already.
No sign of that one from last year yet, though I imagine with SHimano and SRAM now offering discs it'll be an option on the SLX like the Di2 is on the AL.
