Big list - will the LFGSS CC jerseys be ready for this? That would be awesome.
For anyone else going so far my training has involved my regular daily 10m commute and the odd track session - so fuck all really
I've no doubt the last 90 miles or so will hurt so hopefully there will be a few others with questionable fitness and the fondness for apint and pork pie en route - just for energy & fluids yeah -

Not for a couple of months but hopefully I'm fit enough for it. Just wondering if anyone has done it before or if anyone has any advice?
I'm thinking my kit will be:
front light: cree xml + 3x battery packs(15hrs of power)
rear lights: a handful of clip on 5 led lights clipped on my bag and belt and anywhere I can, something seatpost mounted too
clothes: combat trousers, cycling socks and shoes, knee/leg warmers in bag, jersey, long sleve base layer/top, gloves
punture patches+multitool in belt/hip pouch, 4-5 innertubes in bag along with pump(not a co2 one a real one)Link if anyone needs it.

First time for me but doing regular 35-45 mile rides after work for kicks so should be able to do this hopefully, going to have to make a route around somewhere local and ride laps to see how long I can go for. An old friend who I see doing sustrans stuff on her green recumbant invited me so I might get roped into helping her as I think she helps organise it partly.

I'm thinking UTFS!!!!!Yeah but not to discuss if I'm going under equiped and possibly going to die or be stranded in the middle of fuck knows where.

Now is the time to ask about equipment and getting stranded ... ^
Good list management btw

15 hours of front light?
You are setting off while it is still light and it will be light again by 4 am. You need 7-8 hours of front light.
Rear lights, on leaving London you are in a massive peloton which has high visibility, once in the dark and lonely lanes even a small led is highly visible. Lots of bright blinky rear lights only serves to annoy anyone riding behind you.Clothes, judge it on the day.
Tubes, 3 punctures would be highly unlucky, 5 would suggest you should have put new tyres on before you left. I take two, I needed to use one 3-4 years ago.
Food, bring lots of tasty snacks, find me, feed me.

The front light batterys is just habit now. I rarely got past the 1st battery pack but would be crap at remembering to charge them so had 3.
I hit a bunch of potholes the other week riding roads I don't normally ride and a couple of them gave me pinch flats. I don't get normal punctures from glass and stuff but seem to be a pinch flat magnet lol
