Wouldn't say I'm getting consistent with it, but it's definitely fun to give it a go. Especially switch footed spins.
The 180 challenge is always fun. Regular 180, then opposite 180. Then switch foot regular 180, and then the hardest is the switch foot opposite 180.
Indian givers count, obviously.I still think one of my favourite things is just riding a flat bank and doing bar spins. Regular bank bar, opposite bank bar (spin and throw oppy), then top side bank bar (opposite spin, regular throw) and then if you're feeling flash an opposite topside (regular spin, opposite) throw. And of course the bars fakie. Bar spins make my world go round.

This is some serious trick bag. Have you put an edit in the 'my tricks' thread?
-
• #379
I would if I ever got it on film, which potentially might happen today. Pretty much all I do is bars on banks and ride foot high ledges whilst trying to use curbs as transitions like chris carter

Bloody hell Sam....

Aimed at my fine self? Trick bag is small, but I like to think what I can do I can do well.

Yeah mate still pretty intense.
Anyone got a spare fork.
I've knackered mine -

Ta! Actually learned a new trick today, half arsed crank slides/bb killers* on ledges, pic and maybe footy later
*euro bb, left cup began to unthread itself! Nightmare

Indian givers count, obviously.I've done this before, without the indian giver allowance. Doing a switch footed opposite 180 is a good one to confuse people.

Replace barspin with x-up and that could be me.
Whilst everyone seems to be posting pictures of their bikes here's on of mine at the woods today. One of my old seats managed to make its way back to me, and as the Giant one was looking a bit sorry for itself it's been swapped out. I'm not convinced though the Balance sits a little lower and isn't quite as padded so I might change it back.
Sorry for the poor picture I left it too late in the day and foolishly relied on the auto settings on my camera.

primo balance? used to rock a railed one before i made the switch to piv. and but the pivvy one was just not the same.
dunno about you but every time I ride someones bike with a low saddle that's large I find myself catching my ankles/shoes on the saddle as I pedal, shit sucks.
-
• #388
Yeah it's a Primo Balance, I too had the railed version but for some reason I always had it at an obscene angle.
Maybe if I could raise it slightly it would be a bit different but I'm stuck with my integrated seatpost. I definitely found it got in the way a bit riding around yesterday.
-
• #389
Pretty sure the only way to run a primo balance is at an obscene angle!
Never understood integrated seat posts, was so glad it never became a standard/more common as someone who runs 2 large caveman fists worth of post!
-
• #390
I've grown to like my integrated post. Initially I thought it was too low and had a few moments where I nearly cut it off on my old Sunday, but now it just seems like one less thing to go wrong.
-
• #391
Yeah that's fair enough I guess, I'm sure if I gave it a to for a few weeks I would get used to not having a seat between my knees at all times but I can't barspin unless I pinch with my knees so as it stands the post shall aha
-
• #392
I "rawed" my bike today. And by that I mean I spent twenty minutes with some course sandpaper rubbing the paint/rust off. I haven't got any clear coat so it'll only rust again, ah well. I think she looks pretty cool in raw(ish)

Very nice. I take it you race?

Raised/levelled my saddle because it makes pull up bar to manny easier. and because i can. and sit down wheelies are the best.
18cm of post on show, level with crossbar. dreamy.

Madness.
-
• #397
Aye, get that a lot. Just can't be doing with low seats.
I actually raised it as it's my only rideable bike at the minute and I need to get to work tomorrow, and even with the seat as it was I still got sore knees. Put it up so I could get better leg extension and it's surprisingly fun to ride so it's staying.
-
• #398
As long as you can still do the tricks you want to do with it like that then it doesn't matter what people think!

rebuilt rear wheel with silver spokes to match the front. first time I've actually had 48 spokes in my rear wheel in about 2 years. I give it a week...
put my gland back on NDS on the rear, need to find a way to mod my alloy ratchet guard to run them both.
Fair play if you're getting consistent with the switch footed stuff. I find it really awkward, I got a switch footed opposite feeble to easy 180 one time but it wouldn't become a stock trick.
