  • Anyone got the Swrve Lightweight WWR shorts? Any good?

Looking for similar shorts to those in Giro's New Road range.

Want something that can be worn on top of bibs, look fairly stylish and still be functional. Stretch & fast drying.

They're £40 less than Giros too..

  • I have some lightweight WWR pants that I turned into shorts...

To update on my dying Swrve shorts, I got some Dylon today, going to give it a go over the weekend...

  • How'd it go?

  • Got a bit muddy out in the Pennine's yesterday so those clothes took priority in the washer. Stuck 2 pairs of the shorts in the washer this morning with some Dylon. Will find out how it went about 6pm I guess..

  • It worked great this time. Used the Dylon all-in-on stuff (not that stuff that needs salt). Washed with dye at 40c then washed at 40 after. Seems to have dyed them pretty evenly.

  • That's great to hear! Thanks very much for guinea pigging this for the rest of us. Shall revitalise my jeans this weekend.

  • No worries, I'm still confused why the brown dye (same brand) didn't work but the black did...

  • Am also looking at picking up some similar smart/ tailored shorts to psee. One that the arse won't blow out on. Swrve seem worth a try.

I see london stockists on their site, was wondering if anyone had an idea of which one has the most extensive collection?

Mainly to try stuff on for sizing..

  • only condor I think? but happy to be proved wrong as I'd like to try on stuff too

  • Brixton Cycles have plenty Swrve no?

  • I have a pair of the blue short short in 31" brand new for sale. £40

  • 15% off with "bespoked14"

  • Code still working. New slacks.

  • Thanks for that, saved me a tenner, jean sorts on their way in time for the summer

  • Has the code expired? I can't see a space to enter a code.

  • I used it a couple of weeks back. Just tried the site, I think they have removed the voucher code field.

  • How do people find their Swrve cotton trousers/shorts for discolouration in the saddle contact area? I have a pair of grey skinny 3/4's and there's a very noticeable amount of fade after only a handful of rides...very disappointed.

  • All trouser fade, no matter how much money you throw it at.

the exception is the Rapha jean which supposedly last a lots longer despite being nearly 3 or 4 time the price.

  • Yeah I'm just a bit shocked at the rate of wear that's all!

  • Depend on saddle as well, some like a suede one will wear trouser out before the week is out.

  • Aye I prefer slippy saddles so can't blame it on that...

  • I have a pair of swrve shorts that used to be dark gray but two summers later are now some kind of odd faint grey

Sure, everything fades, but swrve stuff seems to fade really quickly

  • Very fact.
I had a pair of the skinny jeans that faded at the saddle contact point really quick (within weeks) then went thin (within a couple of months) then within six months the jeans had disintegrated at the crotch and gooch.

  • my swerve jeans stood up to over 2 years of riding before begining to wear through, though they did fade around the saddle area. in contrast i've worn through a pair of 'normal' jeans in 2 weeks before. I say they do what they set out to do quite well.

  • And so it's one all at half time.

We'll be right back after these messages...
