Short review if possible?
Like the look of the Orange version.
Hello sorry only just seen this.
Good jacket. Very warm - which isn't actually quite what I wanted as I'd like something I could wear in autumn rather than winter, but now it's cold I'm glad I have it! Having said that my upper body seems to get warm quite easily so your mileage my vary.
It's reasonably breathable - certainly equivalent to other jackets in the price range.
Have had friends say it looks like a fairly regular if 'sporty' jacket, rather than obviously cycling wear, which was kind of the point of getting it.

Cheers Jezston,
It sounds good, might buy as an xmas present for myself

Has anyone tried the durable cotton shorts? How are they holding up/does the colour stay? Have managed lose/bleach the colour out of my old cotton ones over the summer...
-
• #685
the old herringbone slightly stretchy grey 3/4's were very good - no idea about the other cotton shorts styles though
the WWR finish ones are pretty good
I'm not helping much

Bit of a sale on it seems...

my problem with swrve stuff is, that my shorts, for example, discoloured from enjoying riding under the sun for at least 2 years now, and there's nothing else wrong with them to buy a new pair.

Yeah I have - the aren't as easy to get on and off as regular stretchy jeans, I can't roll up the leg as far as I'd like and they're a little stiff when mounting, but when riding they're fine.

True. My 2 year old blue jeans pair are almost sky blue now compared to the deep royal blue they used to be.
Be interested in hearing people's experience dying them as was concerned how well the funny fabric would take it.

I tried dying some of the cigarette and some of the cotton 3/4s (both slightly stretchy) after they went all sorts of crazy colours in the sun - from grey to sort of orange in places...
Pretty sure I was using Dylon, can't remember exactly which brand though, the dye didn't stick at all, or if it did, it was hardly noticeable. I am going to try some of the cordura jeans as they've faded hugely after a couple of years but not getting my hopes up.
If it doesn't work I'm going to contact Chris or Swrve US and see if they have any tips...

One of my pairs of shorts also has orange bits. If you manage to get back to black, please post back.

Will do, might not go for black but some other dark colour. Will let you know either way.
Not quite ;)
But still very nicely played
